He plays Ryan Goseling in drive in everything I've seen him in.

Everyone seems to know him though, so I'm wondering if he used to be a well known attorney before he had some frick up to where he can't get high profile clients anymore.

Either that or he is just a really well known ambulance chaser

Yeah, he's clearly well-known AND well-liked (except by cops).

Most ambulance chasers are despised. And he seems like a good dad and his ex cares about him. Judge clearly liked him as well from the past.

I think he had some mental breakdown in a high profile case or something and it screwed his career and marriage up and he's trying to rebuild the career.

Highly doubt it. Why would the show make it that obvious in the first episode? I guess he could be, but I'd be pretty disappointed if so.

I just saw the first episode of this last night....holy shite that was the best suspense TV or movie I've seen in years. It just built and built and built, thinking he was going to get released but knowing deep down he's screwed.

Whoever the chick they cast as the "unknown vixen" was superb. She was sexy as hell yet gave off that great 'Stay Away' vibe. You just knew something really really bad was going to happen. The music and how beautifully the scenes of them together was shot was all fantastic. I don't know how there's 8 hrs worth of material here, but I'm excited to see if the other episodes are anywhere near as good as #1.

P.S. - I think the hurst driver did it. The silent friend who glared at Naz and the girl on the street was too obvious right? I think the hurst driver followed him from the gas station.

I was going to give u an up vote until this last comment. No way bodie's friend or the hearse driver did it.... No motive and way too obvious. It's someone she knows. As you said, she was scared the moment we saw her.

I am with you on all other points, the first episode was fantastic, going to be tough for the series to keep up that standard for 7(now 6) more episodes.

Sounds like were heading for a true detective ending. Every possibility is discussed and argued to death to the point where the ending is destined to disappoint because everyone wants their theory to be correct but with the added irony that they also want to be suprised by the ending.

Why would whoever killed her just leave him asleep and alive in the kitchen? He had never done drugs before and did Molly, Coke, and drink a bunch. I think he killed her but will end up getting off. It seems they make a point to show how the cops frick up the investigation or will at some point tamper with evidence or something.

To have someone to blame for the murder. Not that hard to figure out actually

So you risk leaving someone alive who may be able to identify you or may wake up and sneak up behind you while you're trying to murder someone? Just so he may get blamed for the murder? If he brings his cab keys with him the first time and doesn't have to break back in the house there is a chance he is never even brought in. Yeah makes total sense. You're a regular Columbo. There is definitely reason to believe she was already scared as well, but to act like what I proposed is just impossible is stupid.

Seriously?

Maybe to frame him so the person who did it doesn't go to jail?

Just read your recent post, sure there are question marks with that situation like most situations offered. But it's a pretty simple explanation as to why someone would leave him there. Doesn't mean that's what happened, but it's extremely plausible

And so far after 2 episodes, the only other character that we know of with real motive would be the stepdad.

Havent read all 14 pages of posts so may have been mentioned but does anyone else think her cat will play a part in finding the killer. They made sure to show her putting the cat out after he mentions his allergy and you can see that the gate doesn't shut. So that's how killer gets in. Then at the end of the first episode as the dad stands in the street a cat runs by for no reason at all l, as if to be a silent clue. Then in the 2nd episode the guy makes sure to mention to Box that there is a cat in the house if he wonders why he is itching. Maybe it's just me looking for to much but seemed like a lot of cat stuff considering what all is going on in the show.

I don't think so. The cab got a parking ticket. It may have been a while, but they would have eventually put him there.

It's not really her that's dead, it's her girlfriend. She's faking her own death. That's why the stepfather didn't identify her immediately. Just my simple theory.

I was thinking this is how it may end as well. The only problem, and it sucks I'm even writing this, is maybe the writers/producers don't want to agitate or offend a certain sect of people...
