No fricking way he killed her like that and only has a little blood on his palms. It would be EVERYWHERE on him.

The blood on his palm was his. He cut his hand on the glass when he reached in the door after locking himself out.

What's up with the inhaler? Something is up with it. It was on a blood soaked bed. Was it bloody? Did they clean it? Would a killer causally take it from the cop after it was at the scene of a brutal murder? Was it even the same one?

I don't remember it looking very bloody laying on the bed, but it was on top of the bloody bed. If it was there during the murder, it would have had more blood on the top of it, so it was almost certainly placed or dropped there post-murder.

Can they determine if a left or right handed person did this?

The coroner can almost certainly tell which hand was used. People don't typically stab from 12-6. It will come from an angle from the side of the hand used.

This may have already been discussed (I'm not reading 11 pages), but does anybody notice the plotlines borrowed from the Adnan Sayed case?

- Pakistani kid who has never been outside the US
- denied bail due to being a flight risk
- talks to cops because he is naïve
- overwhelming physical evidence against him
- has no memory of the day/night

Yes. Very similar. I almost thought this was inspired by that case. For all I know, it could be.

Yeah, he seemed a little pissed when he said it was her house, got it from the mom. I'm guessing her mom was a sugar momma to him.

I didn't get the vibe that he was upset about not receiving the brownstone.

James Gandolfini started on this project before Serial became popular. Granted, they could have borrowed some ideas later on.

Can we discuss in the first episode when she tells Nas she can't be alone tonight? Obviously getting into the cab she showed some sense of relief, so maybe she was running from something. Then, when she sees the type of person Nas is in the cab, she deliberately flirts with him to gain his trust because he seemed vulnerable. Why did she befriend him so quickly? I'm guessing that whatever happened just before she got into the cab will reveal a lot more about the murder than what we've been shown so far.
So far I think they've done a good job developing Nas's character, and showing how his ethnic background comes into play and will be a big part in what's to come. Right now the only thing I can say for sure is that he was there when she was murdered, but the way they've let his story unfold strongly suggests he didn't kill her.
Then there's Box. He's fantastic. I think he's the only LEO who's not convinced by the evidence that Nas is the killer. Box's scene with the step dad makes me wonder if he might have had something to do with whatever she had to get away from that night, and then the scene with the DA was foreshadowing that everyone believes what the evidence points to, except for Box. He's gonna crack this case or get killed doing so.
Lastly, the little pieces that we're all hung up on are just threads to pull on at this point. There's simply too many missing pieces for now, and it seems like they want you to jump without looking, like the one cop said in E2 I believe. Hopefully the rest of the season delivers like TDS1.

My guess is there will be things about the forensics that are going to not back up Naz as the killer and Box is going to be in a tough spot after convincing the DA to go forward with charges. He might not be able to reel her back in from prosecuting him even if he changes his mind about Naz and the story line could turn into Box trying to vindicate Naz internally.

1. That isn’t the murder weapon and they’ll quickly find that out.
2. There will be evidence of another person there, footprints in blood, 3rd party blood, different angle/hand during stabbing, open door used for cat, etc.
3. All of Naz’s story will check out about the hand thing, the drugs, the sex, etc.
4. The girl will have some crazy background story with lots of enemies.

Pretty sure it was from the girls hand. She grabbed the wooden handrails of the stairs on they're way up to the bedroom with her stabbed hand. They showed that specifically in one of the shots. And Nas grabbed the same part during his panic running out the apartment. Plus his hand didn't have a cut on it. Just blood

As it stands after 2 episodes and given the info we have so far the step dad is the most likely other suspect or is tied to the person who did it imo

Like he said during his talk with Box, he knows she runs through a bunch of guys and loves her drugs. So he would know how he could frame someone for the murder aka some guy she brings home on a one night stand after they've been getting fricked up all night. He also knows the layout of the apartment and the back gate door.

Then you have him denying it's her at first and then not wanting to see the actual body. That doesn't mean guilt, but it's just shady especially combined with his lack of emotion. And the obvious motive would be money/the apartment that his deceased wife left for her daughter

As stated earlier, he cut his hand when breaking the glass to get back into the house.

You're right, he did. Just went back on the dvr to watch. But he also grabbed the bottom post of the wooden stairwell with the same hand where Andrea put her bloody hand on. So it should show both of their blood on his hand

I thought this was more to show that he might have needed his inhaler while going to stabtown on the girl, but I've misread things a lot.

I'm pretty sure he took a puff from his inhaler right before they had sex, so that was why it was in the bedroom.

Also, one thing I haven't seen mentioned in here is the condoms in Nas' backpack. He told Box that he'd only slept with 1 girl before, seems strange that he'd be walking around with condoms in his backpack if that is true.

I'm not sure how it would look in an investigation, but that's a pretty normal practice. I kept on condom on me way before I ever lost my virginity. Gotta be ready bruh

You never carried around condoms in your wallet when you were in HS to look cool? He's just a little behind and think carrying condoms are still cool
