Saturday is awesome because you have 2 full days to do what you want work wise. Your stress is at its lowest, you have total control over planning what you do, when, and where.

The idea of Sunday, when you think ahead to it on Saturday, is great because it's more of the same.

However, when you wake up on Sunday, much of your day is clouded by the fact that you know it's coming to an end. That things you didn't do Saturday you HAVE to do today, and the pending doom on Monday weighs heavy on you.

Knowing when you die is like knowing you have to go to work on Monday. A life of not knowing is more like Saturday where there's way less pressures and stress.

This is probably the most eloquent thing I've ever read. It explains my feelings exactly.

Yes, I would be ready for it and more motivated to accomplish everything I want to do before that day comes.

No. I'd be a miserable wreck until the day I died

Well, if that were the case, the second I turned 48, I would ride a bike or Uber to work everyday
Couldn't you just die
In an Uber car crash??

Yes. I would have said no before seeing the movie Big Fish.

He found out when he would die and then basically viewed it as being invincible until that moment. Thats the way I would look at. Think about this: currently every day is a day you might die. You wouldnt trade that for know thousands of days you couldnt die, and one day you definitely would?
interesting way to look at it

Can you imagine, knowing at 48 you die in a car wreck leaving work.

You know how hard it would be getting in your car that day knowing you couldn't change it?

It'd be the worst day ever

In before both-

"If you're not living you're dying."

&

"We're all dying a little bit every day."

OP: I would not choose to know beforehand. I reserve the right to check out early in the face of some of the more horrific death scenarios. In that case, I would have foreknowledge of the time & place.

Hell no.

There's little to no payoff. If you find out you die soon or terribly, your life is ruined.

And who cares if you find out you will live till 90? We already have that mindset anyway since survival is built into our genes. How often does the fear of dying enter your mind? Everyday? bullshite.

The big fish theory is interesting.

I think I would know. I'd do some crazy shite knowing that I'd pull through

No. How would you handle the answer "Tomorrow, trapped in a car fire". That would be a stressful 24 hours before you checked out.

It would have to be a final destination type of death. If I was told "trapped in a car on x date," it would be too easy to avoid a car for that day and I guess I would die another way.

and not knowing when you're dying means you might not even enjoy saturday because you spent your last breaths working on friday at 4.

I have a pretty good feeling that I'll end up in soil at some point; I don't give too much thought to how or when.

Absolutely yes.

You're saying I'd be absolutely invincible until that day?

I'd be a super hero.
