Will Donte have a key role in the football team next year?

He has unlimited potential. With NFL speed, tremendous athletic ability and skill there's no reason he shouldn't get a lot of playing time next season. He has star power and can be a game changer in big time games.

I say cut him loose and let him be apart of special teams, offense and defense like last year but this time give him the ball more and lets see how good he really can be.

Let that boy eat!!!

If he's going to be involved on offense they should include him in plays where he doesn't get the ball. Seems like any time he was on offense last year he got the ball and the defense always keyed in on him. I look forward to watching him progress on STs

Poor mans Skyler Green. Does a little bit of everything but nothing exceptional. May better serve on offense with how stacked secondary is.

He can be a distraction, and then a surprise on Offense, but rather him full time on Defense...Right now just hope he gets cleared....

Skyler was a completely different type of player, more nimble, elusive, but lower top end speed.

1) I don't remember Skyler playing defense
2) Jackson is much faster than Green
3) Skyler had 4 years to prove himself. Give Jackson a chance to prove himself before we start discounting him

BTW, I was just looking at Green's stats and realized how much he underperformed his Jr and Sr years. Less than 500 yds receiving combined in those 2 years

in what way?

And dont say speed.. because that would make a lot of LSU players poor mans Skylar Greens with the speed we have.

Are we certain he's gonna be academically eligible for the fall?

Imagine Aranda putting Donte Jackson's speed on a nickel back blitz. Wreckin' shop.

He put on all this weight and was a different player. When he was the guy that blew everyone's doors off against Texas and the jet sweep menace in 2003, that was when he was at his best.

also coincided with Bowe & Buster's emergence, IIRC.

AMEN to that! One of the GREATEST all time games in Tiger Stadium. The look on the UGA players' faces when we started chanting LSU AFTER they scored to go ahead... PRICELESS. Also, one of the loudest games ever in TS (quite likely the loudest DAY GAME ever).

I predict a Jet Sweep in game #2 for about 80 yard TD....only to never see him or that play again on Offense for the rest of the season.
