If this was a CCU thread, we would be bitching at CPM leaving the closer out. This is quite stupid IMO.

Every time we get something going this coach walks to the mound to slow the tempo. Take note Paul

Two years in a row we haven't had anything even close to resembling a 3rd SEC-caliber starter, unacceptable at a program like ours

This statement is so fricking stupid I don't even know where to begin

Beginning of the year the goal was regionals, supers would be a great year. This team accomplished a top 8 seed and every one expects a championship. This team had a great season exceeding rationale expectations

I didn't expect a title. I don't think anyone realistic does. But you have a really good shot to get to Omaha when you host. But you have 0 shot when you give away runs to a team who is as good or better. By my count, we straight up gave away 3 runs and at least 2 free outs with really bad decisions.

It would be nice if our coach would be a difference in our FAVOR in this kinds of games. Not our detriment. This team doesn't need help, but we've given it to them.

On the bright side, we are working their closer hard right now.

College baseball has legit parity now. Look at what's happening in the regionals and super regionals. Look what's happening to the SEC teams alone.

This was a rebuilding year with all the talent lost. It's been a success no matter what happens now. I'm not saying CPM is anything close to perfect or faultless. Far from it. But the program is in fine shape.

Congratulations on the best post in this thread.

Thanks for the pick me up.

You don't seriously consider a series loss to CC at home in the super a 'serious run"?

Given the pitching limitations and position player turnover? Yes. Team needs a big influx of competitive pitchers and more bats + better arms in the outfield.

ou do realize how many position players we lost from last season.

Yep. But that's not what we're talking about. You maintain that playing in a super constitutes a serious title run and I do not agree

When the frick did this happen?

I swear some of you get pre-pissed off at things that haven't even happened. You're miserable just in case. I don't get it.

Funny thing is, this guy has not been even remotely intimidating. I want to see him again.
