Posted on 6/11/16 at 11:24 am to SPEEDY
ESPN trying to cash in on this after the fx series.

curious what that guy is talking about
is he talking about dating the white womenz or just being a pompous a-hole?

I think it's an old friend.
He also mentions something about everyone finding out what OJ did but not sure exactly what he's referencing.

yeah they certainly try to lure you in
what's kind of shitty is that ESPN already did an OJ 30/30. it's officially jumped the shark (if they haven't already)

It's gotten good reviews

Booger McFarland was on the radio this morning still sticking with "he's innocent" line.
Nothing brings up a group together like the butchering of two white people.
Eta. As far as cashing in on the fx series, this 5 part doc has been in production for over two years. That shite that was on fx looked like it took 6 weeks.

I love the first oj 30 for 30 but it focuses more on that's specific day than the full story. I would be critical but this has gotten such overwhelmingly positive reviews, I am definitely interested.

It's got 5 parts, so it will be interesting for a young dude like me to see just how famous and beloved OJ was in the 70s and 80s

isnt this series supposed to be about more than just OJ ?
Posted on 6/11/16 at 12:49 pm to SPEEDY
Sounds like he just thought that OJ was an evil dude.

The reviews are saying it's the best thing ESPN has ever done.
Why 'O.J.: Made in America' might be the first television show to win an Oscar
Historically meticulous, thematically compelling and deeply human, “O.J.: Made in America” is a masterwork of scholarship, journalism and cinematic art.- Los Angeles Times
The scope and seriousness of the doc makes the American Crime Story version of the Simpson story so much weirder and high school play-ish in retrospect.
The single thread throughout the whole documentary is violence: the violence of poverty, of racism, of the organizing principles of the city of Los Angeles and America itself, of football and ultimately the violence of O.J. Simpson's personal life. The documentary begins and ends with shots of the Nevada desert and all that nothingness.

Of all the stuff they could play to lure watchers, they chose that?
I'm going to watch, but it won't be because of that commercial.

I hope Simpson stays another ten years in prison.
