no. it's more like i'm asking you to quantify these traits so that we can even have the discussion about them

Correct and ironically you would be comfortable discussing dynamic and nebulous yet real and impactful aspects if you didn't have a personality quirk that requires all knowledge you accept to be wrapped up in a concise easy to understand little box

So in Game 1 he proceeds to hit 6 first half 3's

Think about this for a second. This was a HUGE deal at the time for Jordan or any player to do this. Think about how normal that would be now with the volume shooters like Curry, Thompson, etc....

This is the current record holders...Top 3

Most 3-point field goals, one half

10 Chandler Parsons Jan 24, 2014 2nd Half
9 Deron Williams Mar 8, 2013 1st Half
9 Klay Thompson Jan 23, 2015 2nd Half

True and fair point, but didn't he have 35 points in the half too?

And also, I never woulda guessed 10 is the record for a half. Ever.

this entire conversation began with me saying you want to dismiss it because it can't be quantified.

You're still demanding I quantify it or you will dismiss it

wasn't Kyrie in "the letter"?

my mistake, what I meant was if he had been excluded in The Letter like Wiggins and Bennett he would've been gone too.

if you don't know what you're introducing into teh conversation, how can i know what it is?

and, more importantly, how can anyone even respond to you?

So LeBron left a player who according to some on the MSB was better than Prime Pippen...

People really said that 32+ year old Wade was better than prime Pippen?

Jordan's personality is real, not simply a contrived mythology and matters.

You disgreed.

This was our discussion

This is a weird tactic you're using now. It was pretty straightforward.

Yes he did. He finished with 39, so he cooled off quite a bit after the shrug. He did have 11 dimes to go with that.

The biggest problem with playing with Wade was he didn't complement James's skill set at all.

Pippen complemented Jordan. Wade did not complement James.

One of the main reasons the Heat lost to the Mavs in the finals was for the exact reason.

That's the thing with the mertics crowd-which's population doesn't even understand half of it.

Chemistry matters. It's not yet quantifiable and it frankly may never be, but it exists.

The secret to basketball is that it's not about basketball.

The Cavs are a mentally fragile team, as it seems. They were rolling. Yes, GSW is a great team, but Cleveland has stopped moving the ball like they were previously. They act like a switching defense is some sort of quantum physics on the court, even after their coach described it as a "junk defense"....The Cavs have seen this before, so how can they be so flustered by it that it takes them out of their game? Personality, chemistry, mental mindset....

I expect them to play better at home, but they have yet to show the toughness to compete...and that starts at the top.

absolutely...and Pippen in the second run was in his early 30s....that crowd points to metrics like PER to validate their opinion.

The problem with using "intangibles," is you will let the end result decide what intangible you want to roll with

Brady is clutch for winning super bowl against Seahawks. If Butler doesn't make int(which has nothing to do with Brady), he isn't clutch
