I kind of want to see this. Bad movies are a hobby of mine.

Jupiter ascending is on HBO, and it's really bad. Batman v superman is the worst thing I've seen in a movie theater in a long time though. That's a must for people who like bad movies

When society as a whole takes no actions against folks responsible for horrors like Battlefield Earth, it just emboldens other groups to take their stab at infamy.

I still want to see it, but...

Battlefield Earth,
Whoa, slow down. While BE may not have been a critical or financial success in the traditional since, its importance transcends both art and money. There were certain human truths that this film explores and even explains with more clarity than any religion or science has been able to. To say that BE was a bad movie is to show your ignorance of how the universe actually works.

read this yesterday. the closing line is my favorite
quote:
“How could any decent person know about this and just let it happen?” said 41-year-old Flagstaff, AZ resident Katherine Plante, who, like thousands of others, looked on in abject horror on opening night, powerless to do anything as Gerard Butler transformed into a giant gold bird. “Think of all the families who only wanted to have a nice night out together but found themselves in this...this nightmare. It’s devastating to realize it could have been stopped.”
Added Plante, wiping away a tear, “I just hope they never let anything like this happen again.”

Gods of Egypt was pretty bad, but it's no where near as bad as Jupiter Ascending. I don't know how that was even made. The first Matrix had to be a one time fluke.

life is hard for GOTs stars and their movie careers

Meh.... I paid to see Zoolander 2 and London has Fallen this year and those were pretty terrible.

Maergery and Cersi have been in some huge hits, but yeah when the 'star' is a Game of Thrones cast member, you get a shitty Terminator or the oddest mythological movie of all time.

I couldn't get to the 30 minute mark. I tried. I really tried.

I don't understand Alex Proyas. Dude makes amazing movies The Crow and Dark City, follows those up with I, Robot which was whatever, but not terrible, but then drops two horrid notchas with Knowing and Gods of Egypt. Who is this guy?

I liked this movie.
It wasn't great, but I liked the concept a lot.

I,Robot was due to studio interference. Proyas was not happy with them rushing him and forcing him to do things he didn't want to do.
Knowing I thought was very good, so I disagree with you on that one

Battlefield Earth was easily one of my adolescent favorites. Haven't seen it since I was 16-17 though.

I don't think I, Robot was his fault, more studio interference.
For some reason, studios think the average movie goer is an idiot and cannot fathom morals/ethics/philosophy.
Damn you Transformers. DAMN YOU TO HELL.
