It started out as a routine visit to the doctor for Jeryn and Larry Bates of Pascagoula.
"I was having some cramps and I decided to go to the ER," Jeryn Bates said. "This was on our fourth anniversary, which was April 4 of 2014."
She said the ultrasound technician asked her if she was taking fertility drugs.
"I said, 'No,' and just went on talking to someone and not thinking anything about it," she said.
Larry Bates said he was intrigued by the question.
"I paused and said, 'Wait, why are you asking this?" he said.

I can't imagine a surprise singleton pregnancy at this point, let alone surprise quads.

I would be happy so long as it was 4 boys.

Let's get right to the good stuff.
Sounds like a bunch of surnames to me.

To be fair, it doesn't say how far along she was when she found out.
And it said she had no symptoms with her first pregnancy......so it is plausible that the stomach cramps was her first symptoms of the pregnancy.

Actually.....you go to an urgent care for abdominal pain....chances are they may send you to the ER to rule out appendicitis.

Friend of mine and her husband had their first three years ago. Decided to try for their second last year. Went in for the sonogram at 10 weeks and found out she was having triplets. No fertility drugs or treatment.

Did you decide to go with IVF? Trying clomid/IUI first? Please don't feel compelled to answer if it's something you'd rather not share.

quote:Years ago a cafeteria worker in my building (extremely fat black lady) said she was cramping so bad she went to the ER. They told her she was 9 months pregnant and in labor. They put her in the ob gyn area where she saw her own MOTHER. She said "what you doing here momma?" and momma said "same thing you is girl, same thing you is". She told her momma she was ashamed of her and she's too old for all that....
