Michigan media now pissing on Miles

Now that Les Miles is officially out of the running for the Michigan job, the media within the state of Michigan is now trash-talking Miles for staying at LSU with a big raise rather than coming to coach at Michigan.
LINK
Translation: They really wanted him and are VERY upset that he's not coming home to them this year.
The funny, and deluded, part of the whole article is when they start pissing and moaning about how it was all about money and that it was never about money with Bo, Gary Moeller, or Carr.
If nothing else, this shows the arrogance of the Michigan fanbase.
They feel they could have any coach in the country they want, below market value at that, because of the history behind the Michigan name.
"What coach would want to stay in the SEC when they could come to the Big Ten, where the big boys play, and coach one of the most historic programs in NCAA history?"
They're probably going to be dealing with the same kind of overblown expectations that Notre Dame had when they chased after Urban Meyer, yet were rebuffed because Meyer was offered the Florida job, one of the top positions in the recent college football landscape, and get paid a ton of money to do so.
Their new target, Brian Kelly, may be interested in going to Michigan, but a guy who jumps jobs like he has will tell tell them to stick it up their arse if they low-ball a contract offer.

The really funny part is that they have no one to blame except themselves. This was an inside job.

Mitch Albom had all kinds of sour grapes on the Sports Reporters yesterday morning.

Lots of UM fans are ripping that piece. I was glad to see it.

Like that writer would leave a job that he and his family were happy with for another job at half the salary! Even if it is your alma mater, you stay where the compensation is best, all other considerations being equal.
The hypocrisy that runs rampant in the media makes me want to puke.

They are so stuck in the past and need to get over themselves. It is ridiculous how arrogant they are about Michigan. The scene has changed a lot in the last 15 years. With that attitude they may be heading for a derailment like Nebraska ran into after firing Solich when he finished his final year there at 9-3. It's time for Michigan to have a losing season.

That story is ridiculous! Are you kidding me? What a friggin sore loser that douche sounds like!
No one who has ever heard Miles talk about Mich. can honestly say he isn't a "Mich. Man" with integrity etc., etc.
This is the real world, big boy, LSU must be a pretty special place in order to keep Miles here. Money is money, but at that pay level, I believe it makes way less of a difference than you think.
LSU is the shite, and this reporter guy is a moron.

which is why I said repeatedly that I didnt think UM would pay:
$1.25mm for the buyout
$1+mm to get rid of the 2008 contracts for carr's assts
$3.0mm for 5 years for Miles
their arrogance would have them saying WHY do we have to pay all this money for a coach? we are Michigan
and dont lose sight of the fact that they are pissed they arent getting him AFTER he won the SEC CG. It wasnt quite such a big deal to get Miles before he won the SECCG

I love the attitude that fans of 'historic' programs have. You know what I say to them? Harvard and Yale are 'historic' programs, too, what's their ranking?
