"What coach would want to stay in the SEC when they could come to the Big Ten, where the big boys play, and coach one of the most historic programs in NCAA history?"
I love the attitude that fans of 'historic' programs have. You know what I say to them? Harvard and Yale are 'historic' programs, too, what's their ranking?

quote::lol: Awesom. Now Saban's going for loss #7!
But a tough, physical loss for Bama could easily send them into a tailspin with Miss St and Auburn still left to play. Winning the bowl game is never a lock after a tough SEC season. A 4, 5 or even 6 loss season would not look good for Saban, especially if he loses to Auburn.

He's staying then. No coach would make announcement he's leaving right before the game. That would be like announcing you're leaving, like, on Christmas day or something.

They lost to Arkansas because he was dicking around with his move to Michigan.
They lost to Arkansas because Arkansas played better football than us that day. The players' heads were all in New Orleans on Jan 7th already - that's why we lost.
And that stupid 4th and 10. Sorry, but if you blamed the general and fired him every time something went wrong, you'd have no generals left. Sometimes its the lieutenants you want to rid yourself of - Pelini.

Everyone has their opinion, people either like a coach or hate him.
They'd all be suckin' Les's dick right now if he had beaten Arkansas. But since we would have only won by a few points in OT, they'd be complaining about the taste.
I'm fine with The Hat myself. I'm sure there are better coaches - but not many - and I'm more concerned with having the best team than the best coach. Look what Bamas concern for having the best coach got them!
The only problem I have with Les is he needs to step in when the DC is doing something stupid like a prevent on 4th and 10 to win the game. But if we had a good DC - he wouldn't have to do that. I think Les is a great delegator - give him the right DC, and with Crowten, LSU goes far.

From the definitive inside source
Posted by JJSpinella on 12/1/07 at 11:02 am
I know there's a lot of posers here with so called 'inside' sources - but they aint got nothin like my inside source. My inside source is so close to the program he knows what Miles eats for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Anyway, according to him, Les will announce his retirement on Monday. He's tired of coaching football - he's aged a decade this past season - so he's retiring from coaching to pursue his 2nd great love - plants. That's right, the Coach Miles Plant Nursery, will be opening up right next to Ruffino's in 6 months.
Also, Nick Saban will announce the following day that he and his doctors have decided that he was born the wrong sex, and he will undergo sexual reassignment surgery right after losing the thisschoolsucks.com bowl to Notre Dame.

Miles told the team that he would not be leaving them before the bowl game.
Miles told team that he would talk to UM after the SEC CG, he owed his Alma Mater that.
LSU players interpreted that as meaning Les was going to leave. They might be right, prolly is going to happen, but he has NOT abandonned his job, he is still coaching.
That said, if he accepts the UM job it is likely that he will be relieved of his command before the bowl game.
And what? You just made all this shite up off the top of your head?
