I knew that comment would get a response or two. I got this for $27. It was not out on a shelf, but was visible.

In that price range Larceny would be a good substitute

How's Larceny Barrel Proof? Think I'm going to pick up the one that comes out this month.

How does it compare to the EC barrel proof? I have a C920 that I think is outstanding.

I found the EC to be much better than the OF Elios pick, and I enjoyed that OF too. I need to grab another bottle while I still see them around

So I’ll say this is kinda a Forest Gump bottle for me. When the movie Forest Gump came out, I didn’t see the movie for months. tFor those months it was out, the whole time all I heard was how phenomenal the movie was. So by the time I finally got around to seeing it, my expectations were unfairly high. It was in fact an awesome movie but my too highly set predetermined notions of what to expect weren’t met. That being said, this Smoke Wagon UC/UF is really good....really good. Definitely velvety and mouth filling. First few tastes were strictly neat. Could pick up some dark fruit, chocolate and orange also maybe?, but felt it was kinda missing the punch I was looking for. Then I dropped an ever so small cube of ice in it and gave it a few more sips. It definitely opened up. The flavors came through more pronounced and finishing for me. I’ll say it definitely does not drink like a 114 proof..very easy on the palate. I couldn’t pick up on any smoke though, not a bad thing just wasn’t sure if that was supposed to be there. All in all I’d certainly get another bottle when I run out if I see it but I won’t go out my way to look for it. Rare Breed at $45 is my standard for barrel proofs. The flavor that bottle supplies at $45 is just incredible. SW is good but not double the price of WTRB good. I also just got a bottle of the Old Forester Barrel Proof Single Barrel (Elios Pick) for $50 and I’d give it the slight nod over the SW. All that being said, I’m glad I have this bottle and I really do like it. I’m sure the next pour will probably be even better since this was a neck pour. Damn good, damn delicious and I’d probably be more of a fan had I tasted it sooner than I did.

I wish I was were you are at on bottle level Bus. One regret I have in life is not buying way more of these from TA. Mine lived a good life. Tonight I say goodby to a great bottle.

I'm gonna need someone to explain why this stuff is so hard to come by . It's fine at $27, but I would not be too happy if I paid $50 for this
