I see someone had poured one, with a cube, which I will not. Did you get in on the glasses?
Negative on the glasses. Hell I just created my own Facebook account. Wife got mad because I kept responding on her behalf to bourbon stuff so she kicked me off of hers. And neat for me all the way. If I dare drop a cube it will be very small.

Well there will be a new day. These glasses are substantial, weight wise’

You still in town? Let’s grab some Q.
Yeah, I got there at 2:30ish and gone but they said more tomorrow.
I'm back in Houston currently, but will be back and forth the next couple weeks. Have a project under construction in the NOLA area.
I'll have to send Jeff a note and have him run my card and hold one for me.

That Springbank 10 is not bad but it’s not in the same league as the 12 cask Strength.
I like them all. I finished the 8 year single cask sherry not too long ago.
Just poured some of the Glendronach 18

Nice. The wife got me an independent bottling of 14 year old Ledaig, sherry finished at 55% ABV.
On pour #2

The High West Midwinter's Night Dram is my favorite.
I am generally more of a scotch fan, but I love that stuff. Haven't tried their double rye yet, but i have a bottle waiting to be opened

Went and grabbed the EC barrel pick from Martin’s today. They said they got more cases in and they weren’t closing until 3 so I made a run. Soft on the palette with a honey?/ fruit pop. Not exactly sure what I’m getting but it’s a great bottle and a steal at $35. Def a good sipper. Reminds me a lot of TigerAttorney’s Eagle Rare pick for those that had gotten some of that.

Just tried EC Small Batch for the first time. Reminds me of one of the Jefferson's Ocean voyages 19 or 20. Best bourbon I have found around $30

If you have a regular off the shelf bottle and like it a lot, do yourself a favor and go get you the Martin’s barrel pick.

Hey folks - wanted to drop in here to get a price check on some whiskey.
Wife just swung by the liquor store on the way home because of hurricane and I asked her to grab me a bottle of Buffalo Trace if they had any. It used to be my go to every day drinker, but it was entirely unavailable when I lived in Charlotte so I haven't had it in a while (just moved back down south). Back in the day (5-10 years ago) it always ran $15-25 bottle.
Anyhow, when wife got home she commented that it was $40. Plain Jane Buffalo Trace. I thought this was crazy and called the liquor store to verify and they said nope that's the right price. Tried to google and the range is anywhere from $25 (BT's actual suggested retail) to $45. Is this stuff actually running $40 for a 750 now? If so I'll just drink it and find me another go-to. But if it's still a $20 bottle I'm gonna return to sender.
TLDR: How much does a fifth of Buffalo Trace cost nowadays?
Thanks!
