Bourbon shouldn't happen till after 9pm

After I read this and I kinda wondered if anyone really has a preference. With total respect for wanting to drink after 9, I’m totally opposite. I like to have 2-3 pours usually starting around 3pm-4pm and finish as the sun goes down. Then a good dinner and then a good nights sleep. If I start at 9, I’ll enjoy it but head hurts a little more in morning. My age may have something to do with it though. Lol. But yeah I prefer day drinking/sipping on front porch or backyard by pool as sun goes down. Never get smashed but always a nice chill buzz.

I like knocking out a couple before 8 pm if I’m drinking during the week. Like you, I can’t have one last 9 and not feel it the next day.

Thanks for the tip. I haven’t bought any recently because every place I saw it was asking Dorignac type prices. It’s a good bourbon but part of the reason it’s so good is because it’s $35.

It's a good bottle; I grab 1-2 when I see it for under $40. More often than not it's $75+ when I run across it these days

Totally agree. The WT line seems to be gaining some fans as of recently. The Rare Breed is constantly getting praise and the 101 is just solid.

Started out last night with an ETL100 at Bourbon House. Honestly think I prefer regular ETL.

After that, moved on to Mr. B’s. Asked for a price on Thomas Handy as I saw it sitting behind the bar. They couldn’t find it in their system so they said, how about $15/pour? So then wound up with a few THH old fashioneds.

Nice and great price
Ok, also someone posted they were not a fan of the Total Beverage 1792 FP store pick.

I agree. I bit hot, not complex. Nose was better than the palate. Funny, I added some water and it muted the nose and taste.

This is a terrible bottle from Total Wine and they should be embarrassed

I’ve had two different barrel pick tastes from Total Wine in Metairie and neither impressed me. I go there searching for particular bottles at good prices but so far I still prefer to shop Martins down the road. Every pick I’ve gotten there has been on the money and their prices are extremely competitive.

Yes. Any straight bourbon or straight rye will have 0 carbs.

You'll have calories from the ethanol that will affect your daily calorie intake as your body needs to prioritize metabolizing the alcohol you drink. The calorie count varies by proof.
