That was pretty awesome! Im guessing they were fishing around Moran's in Fourchon. Weather looks good to go and try that out on friday if the rain holds off

Any, but like all things, some are better than others. I've used cheapo academy ones and pirogues so I can't vouch for the more expensive ones, but they make standing easier.

There are plenty of kayaks that you can't stand up to use the bathroom, much less try to fish out of while standing. The wider the better for the most part. It'll be a little slower, but I have a massive kayak (Jackson Big Rig) and I don't have an issue getting around. I got the most stable kayak I could find because I'm fly fishing and there's a ton of moving around involved with that.

I assumed he was talking about getting skinny as a beginner. I would not advise standing in a smaller yak from my experience .

I'd also add Wilderness Systems to this list.

Make sure to check out stand up paddle boards too.
I sold my kayak and am currently upgrading to SUP.

Check out the LIVE L2Fish. Made just down the road. I took a test ride on one 2 weekends ago. Stable as it looks. Doesn't have a lot of drag and is quite fast. Anniversary is in 3 weeks and the wife knows what I want, besides a beej. Trolling motor for early Fathers Day gift and it's gonna be a badass summer in the mangroves and flats. Can't wait.

I'm waiting for the L4Expedition right now. 8' deck space is going to give me enough room to have a party.
Powerpole Micro going on the back. Stand high on the cooler for sighting reds. going to be tight.
