One of my bros was working at a drive thru and Goodman drove thru. My bro was starstruck and kind of gawked at him. Realizing what he was doing, he said, "Sorry. I know I'm kind of staring at you. We don't get too many celebrities in here." Goodman goes, "I just thought you were a phaggot" and drove off.

True story.

Also was just in a little movie called 10 clover field lane. Kind of an indie, most people probably won't see it.

If John Goodman plops his fat arse down on your toilet, you better get the plunger ready.

He BEEFS.

He’ll drop 5 or 6 forearm-sized logs in there with no flushes in between. Rumor has it that on the set of “Monsters Inc” he used to shite in the shower and heel it down the drain.

I've heard good and bad.I think he's just really moody given his level of intoxication.

Honestly, I think it is extremely unfair to heap the level of behavioral expectations on celebrities that we do. I mean really, are we civilians always on our best behavior 24/7?

didn't seem too bothered by a few people that walked up to him. This was a little over a year ago.

Actually a huge pet peeve of his. He has social anxiety when he is called out.

He's said he's just a regular guy who wants to be left alone.

Met him back when he was a drinker. We bought our moonshine from the same guy in white castle.

I met him at mardi gras in NOLA in 2003 on Napolean. He walked up to our group and shot the shite with us. Cool guy, imo.

One of my friends ran into him at that cool coffee shop on the corner of oak and Carrollton. He said he tried talking to john, but he seemed a little indifferent, wasn't mean but didn't really want to talk. My friend was talking to him about the big lebowski. He said they parted ways, John walked away, then turned back around and said, "8 year olds, dude."

Was literally coming to post the same story.

My first trip out to Los Angeles to visit some friends about 10 years ago, he was in line in front of me checking into a hotel room...seemed pretty drunk and it was about 2pm.
It sounded like he had a fight with his wife or something and was getting a hotel room for a night.
I had on an LSU t shirt, he noticed it and made small talk for a few mins.
He seemed like an a-hole tbh, but spoke highly of LSU

A friend of mine is one of his best friends. They talk daily. They met on set of Everybody's All American. He did live in Metairie and Madisonville, now he lives in the Garden District. Not sure if he still owns the madisonville house or not, it was next door to Tim McGraw and Faith Hills house right of the bridge across the River from Friends.

As far as his worth, Howard Stern is very good at getting people to talk about that stuff. He said it's somewhere north of $40M and south of $50M, this was an interview in January of 2016. He also discussed living in the garden district in this same interview.

He moved here, because he met his wife here while filming Everybody's All American, and fell in love with Louisiana. He is a huge LSU fan and actually petitioned to become and honorary member of the LSU Letterman Club.

The only time I met him was at a couple football practices in the superdome before the 2006 sugarbowl. He was shitfaced but as nice as could be. Just seemed like he was having a good time.

He used to be a game day steaks regular at Fred's

Used to sit at the bar, often by himself and watch CFB all day. He had a sheet of paper with his bets on it.
