She has worked at some pretty shitty Universities that are basically in Mexico.

I understood what he meant. He just used the wrong word; instead of "prudish", he should've used "pussified".

Student organizations would have to request and be allotted a space to tailgate on the Parade Grounds, whereas now tailgaters reserve space on the Parade Grounds by showing up first.

please, someone, tell me this is 'shopped.

this woman obviously has no feel for the culture around LSU or she was told to do this by higher ups... and that is scary. I mean, the worst politician wouldn't even dare state these things to a mass audience in south Louisiana.

This is where young, liberal-minded kids see the consequences of the homoegenization of local cultural norms that make a place unique in the name of adapting and, "becoming more like everywhere else."

It's like saying, "Crawfish boils on campus create unnecessary trash, strange smells and are a mess to clean up. Other institutions do not encourage or condone this type of activity. It promotes drinking and fellowship and fun. We need to limit this behavior in order to conform to norms and mores that are accepted elsewhere."

don't turn this into a political issue, I'm a liberal as they come and I think this is absurd.

uh, no. methinks you are going overboard just a tad. and perhaps you have a slice of far right wing paranoia.

this woman ran this "idea" up the flagpole and will be the most unpopular person on campus for awhile. it also may help LSU in future litigation when some idiot student dies of alcohol poisoning and mommy and daddy try to get rich off of it.

I'm sure you reached out to both JBE and FKA and told them the same thing re: cancelling LSU in the Summer Semester and cancelling LSU Football-which they did, in the press, on multiple occasions.

Right?

Well I've seen a lot more than students blacked out. Selling alcohol in the stadium could curb this. School prints money.

She comes from Notre Dame: I guess she's still upset about the 1971 game in Tiger Stadium.

Yes, we "tiger bait"way too much and it can be embarrassing.

But it's not because we are drunk.
