The big booty/donk/ghetto onion phenomenon (NSFW)

I'm noticing more and more young ladies have this these days.I have some serious questions about it for especially the younger guys/gals here.
1) When did this become a thing? I seem to remember seeing Kim Kardashian being the first I saw with this feature, and figured that it had to be cosmetic.
2) How does it happen? Girls didn't have asses like this when I was young. Is it a particular workout? Hormones in our foods? What?
3) Do you find it attractive? I don't. It's completely disproportionate and looks silly, imo. I like a natural looking, well-shaped booty on my woman.
4) Here to stay or just a fad? If the answer to #2 is something dietary that causes the expression of this genetic trait, then it's here to stay. If girls are doing it, getting it done because they think it looks good, I hope it's a fad.
