From what I hear, hes in class today with just a sleeve on the knee, MRI later today. So not as bad as initially thought.

Still hope for a speedy recovery regardless.

Exactly. Which is why these kids should bolt for the league as soon as is humanly possible.

While I don't disagree with this, leaves a built in excuse. Would never have upperclassmen, just a bunch of teenagers.

Yes and no. Depends on the kid. Some want to finish their degree now while some just go to college because it's a necessary step to the NFL

Brutally bad luck. Foregoes the NFL and is immediately injured. Sigh.

Agree with both of you in principle but Beckwith is a kid who probably could have made some cash out of the gate and will probably develop into a decent pro which means a lucrative second contract. You can always go back to school and graduate. The window for maximizing your pay day in pro football is razor thin.

I pray the injury is minor, if only for that reason.

So is it confirmed that the injury is "minor" as reported?

Source confirms that the MRI on #LSU LB Kendell Beckwith's knee returned negative. Considered, as we reported this AM, minor.
