He is stroking it, so much fun to watch. If he could play average defense he'd unseat Pap.
Unfortunately for Jordan, Pap is an all-American level defender who shows flashes of offense.

He does play average defense.

I'd say he's above average.

Yep. He doesn't block balls in the dirt as well as Pap, but his arm is as strong. I am pretty sure Romero was a Gold Glove JUCO catcher. Hardly average. The poster was right about Pap's defense being stellar though.

Do they let you into the club between a double header?

I'm at home today. Spending time with the little one since I won't see him tomorrow. I actually owe Kim a beer or two.

Plus he's way better looking

Sorry, I might have undershot my assessment of Romero. I guess I was comparing him to Papierski. He was quite good today. I did see he quit doing the quadruple clutch on the throw back to pitcher.

Has a long ways to go to catch Scivicque:
Bench Finalist
All-SEC
All-American
4th round draft pick
But definitely has the potential, although I don't think he will be under the radar as much as Sciv considering he came from "E". Stellar ball players are produced in Eunice year in and year out.

I'm not sure what you have been watching, but Romero is at best slightly below average defensively and arm strength, where Pap is above average in both.
In Romero's defense, Scivicque and Pap improved greatly defensively in their second year. He is seeing stuff from our pitchers he has never seen before.
Both became much better with balls in the dirt and their throwing after being used occasionally their first year in the program.
I think for now, he will get a good bit of playing time as a dh and catching 1 game per week.

Romero has above average arm strength
His accuracy on throw downs needs work a little but when he comes up slinging its a rope
Some people just say the first thing that comes to mind

You are wrong. I will look for it, but Gibbs was very complimentary of his arm strength recently.
