Based on this calculator I am not making more than he was at my age adjusting for inflation.

Yes. They're pretty much banking on me to pay for a decent funeral and put them in a home one day also. Dad was a mechanic and mom a secretary for the state. We ate a lot of beans growing up baw.

I exceed my parents wealth probably by 5 fold at this same age.

My dad had a very nice home paid for over 40 years ago. He has not financed a thing since then. He has never made a ton of money but everything he ever touched made a good return.

Adjusted for inflation, I make about 10k more per year now than my parents made together in 1991 (age 31). They have 3 college degrees between them. I have 0. When you add my wife's salary, and compare to theirs, we are 38% more wealthy than they were at 31 adjusting for inflation.

My dad is a doctor so he has always done well. I am probably pretty equal to him when he was my age (40). Of course now he is a semi retired multi millionaire so I have some catching up to do....

I'm 26 and making more than what my parents were making at my age. My dad was in the Navy and my mom was a secretary and doing assembly line work at a factory.

I make twice as much as my Dad at this age but he lived in a bigger house, supporting 3 kids and a wife.
Granted, he wasn't OT balling like me though.

We make double, maybe triple the money that my parents did.

I'm close, but at my age my dad was an E-9 with over 28 years, base we are dead even but when you factor in housing, meals allowance, and the other extras he pulls ahead. (adjusted for inflation)

About the same, and he retired debt free with enough put away to travel at age 58. I hope I can do the same.

Definitely not. Everyone on my fathers side of the family has gone to a University since like.. maybe 16XX?

I think I make more than either of my parents did individually.
However, I get to do that because they sacrificed and stressed the value of education so that I could get the degrees that allow me to make good money.
