Our kids' middle names are all family names, but not necessarily named after someone we knew. One of them is a name that was used by members of both sides of the family (my grandmother and his great grandmother, who he never met).

At least when the kids ask "How did you come up with my name?" we can tell them that it came from someplace besides TigerDroppings.

There's nothing wrong with "Joan".

Middle name? Hmmmm....tough to say. Honestly, and I think you know this, we would need to know the last name in order to make a solid determination.

So, ask the guy who knocked up your wife what his last name is and get back to us.

Congrats on the new baby.

If you choose Joan go with #benderantiquing

If Charlotte go with Hornets née Bobcats

Or Anne for either.

btw: Pics of the Momma?

Seriouslu OP...you need to pick the middle name that matches thw first name syllabically.

For instance if there is a 2 syllable first name, do only 2 or 3 syllables for middle name.

If you look at common girl middle names it is always Lynne, Elizabeth, or Mary.

Charlotte Lynne sounds bad. 1 syllable.

Charlotte Mary sounds better. 2 syllables.

Charlotte Elizabeth sounds good. 3 syllables.

Hyphenated middle names are all the new rage. Just take two words and put a hyphen in between them
