I see a lot of this. "prayers needed...blah blah is not doing well...in ICU...pray that he pulls through...Blah blah blah". Then they tag the person. So their page gets lit up with all kinds of stuff. Most recently I see a post asking for a "peaceful death" and the "friend" posted it on the persons' page. This person is not even 40. I doubt most of these people get permission. I understand the sentiment. But jeez people. How about some privacy? How about letting the person actually die before sending condolences or maybe seeing of they might recover. I am sure others here who have FB see this kind of stuff. What's next? Posting a clip of their final breaths? Thoughts?

I've never seen that happen--you must have some wacko friends.

I've seen posts asking for prayers for someone but never tagging that person and never asking for a peaceful death.

People try to rack up as many prayers as possible because they think God has quotas.

This is why I don't have any social media. I genuinely don't give a shite what anybody I know is doing. If I need to know, they'll tell me, or I'll be there.

I think it's extremely narcissistic to update people on every stupid thing they do. It also seems like a large portion of it is just to cover up being boring lame. I can't handle that shite.

Social media can go overboard with this shite. I try to read more of the feel good stories rather than get sucked into the sad shite.

People do shite on FB for the sake of attention. It rarely has anything to do with a legit cause or someone else's best interests.

I know right? People doing social things on social media is pretty shocking.

Please pray for my friend LSUTANGERINE as his thread is drawing its last breath. His TD posting career, we hope, is coming to a peaceful end and the agony and pain we've felt by reading his posts will be forever forgotten.

Forward this post to all of your friends and good luck will find you in the next 24 hours.

*it's true- I posted this and within 5 seconds I closed this fab and never saw his post again!

Did you know you are allowed to reject or rebuke a prayer?

They do it for attention, it's pathetic.
