So, like the NBA?

I'm cool with this, actually.

If the calls are extremely egregious I would be okay with that, but two call for maybe pushing a guy after the play and getting kicked out would be pussy shite.

Will lead to more players playing tentatively which will lead to more injuries.

Goodell and the people that came up with this obvious attempt at deflecting future lawsuits over potential player safety issues are idiots.

If they want to protect players they need to up the fricking roster sizes so that guys don't try to hide injuries or get stuck on the field too long w/o rest. But of course they won't do that b/c they don't want to have to pay more players.

Personal fouls such as unsportsmanlike or personal fouls like facemasks?

If it is the first one, then it is a good thing. It is basically the college rule.

Unsportsmanlike conduct is different than a personal foul. I think the former may be a reasonable suggestion. I don't agree with the latter.

Funny how people always bitch about professional ball players not playing with enough emotion. Yet the moment they show an abundance of intensity, everyone wants to throw them out of the game.

People are going to bitch and moan in this thread because everyone hates Goodell, but in reality, how often would this even apply?

I can't remember the last game where a player had two personal fouls in one game.

ETA I'm assuming facemask penalties wouldn't apply. Basically only late hits and whatever the NFL version of targeting is.

I don't like this rule, because some personal fouls can be weak.

Why not continue to let the ref decide if an action is ejection worthy.. It needs to be something really serious IMO

It could just further make defensive player not play so hard.. they already have to watch themselves enough.. which is a lesser product.

I don't know. I mean personal fouls are often huge penalties and guys are usually ejected if they do something really crazy like throw a punch or fight really badly anyway. To me the 15 yards which are often drive killers /sustainers plus the first if on offense are enough punishment.

If they're so he'll bent on changing a rule why not let a coach use their challenges to actually challenge anything they want whether a bad call, a penalty they feel is unjust, etc.

The idea that you can hit someone hard enough during the course of a play in a full pad contact sport to warrant a penalty and ejection is laughable.

I am guessing he never actually played in a game with a referee.
He needs to REFEREE some practices.
He will find out you can call shite every single possession.
