Pretty sure we are FB friends from our days back at Loyola grad

So you're fully a bucks fan now?
Basketball teams are so proximity influenced. I've seen Giannis getting a hot dog, I met John Henson at my eyedoctors, my girlfriend knew ZaZa's girlfriend (although he was traded before I got to meet them), I saw JJ Redick rocking Wayfarers inside and at night I drunkenly pulled Bango's tail and had him turn around and mock "scold" me like Hugo used to do when my NOLA GF would grab his butt
I will always love the NOLA NBA team, but I lost a little of my fandom when we did the name switch. I've never had season tickets (that I used) to the "Pelicans". I've never been to a "Pelicans" playoff game. I was all about the Hornets and the CP3/DX/TC6 team - I'm not sure if NBA will ever get that good for me again. When we game up short in Game 7 against the Spurs, that was as intense a game/moment as nearly any Saints or LSU game I've ever felt. I doubt that I"ll be able to feel that way about the NOLA team again unless I somehow wind up moving back. I could see myself feeling that way about the Bucks now that I'm here and am part of the same community / arena rebuild / rebranding / etc.

You wouldn't rather MCW and Monroe over Jrue and Asik?
Theoretically, not sure how the money looks.

There is literally no planet on which Milwaukee would make this deal. Not even if we threw in our 1st round pick.
Monroe is a top 5 center - I don't think that they're looking to "dump" him - they're looking to trade him based on his very nice PER and what he could contribute to a contending team. He's not a fit in Milwaukee defensively but I guess they needed to see it before it would dawn on them. He's a great player and could bring a huge return.

It would not help the team
MCW is a big downgrade imo and Monroe's fit on this team is dubious at best.
Its the type of trade most don't want.

What would you say about Anderson/Asik and a future 1st (or this year's lottery) for Monroe and some Bucks filler? You could make it a 3-way and send Anderson to a contender (Cleveland?) with them sending more compensation to Milwaukee.
Monroe might be a dynamic fit with the Pelicans and worst case he's an insanely valuable trade piece or expiring if it doesn't work. Asik would be a better fit with the Bucks (they obviously are better with a defensive center). Monroe is a ton better/more valuable than Asik so that's why you'd have to throw in a valuable expiring and a future first
I don't think Milwaukee does it unless they get the Pelicans lottery pick this year.

Sounds like a move the Pels braintrust would want to make.
No thanks.

Stand pat unless it's a no brainer.

That would be awful. Asik has been solid for going on a month now.

For trade aficianados, new Dunc'd On Pod is their Mock Trade Deadline. Duncan, Leroux, Feldman, and Pelton split up the league and discuss potential deals.
LINK
Only Pels talk- Holiday discussion around 43 minute mark. Some discussion, but nothing that Pels fans would get excited about- sending him to Cleveland w/ Asik dump got the most traction. And then Evans around 59 minute mark and no bites. Anderson should come up in part 2.
Big moves: They did send Love to Denver for Barton/Gallo/King Joff and filler. Also sent Whiteside to Portland, Pau Gasol to Miami, and Plumlee to Chicago + filler. Miami/Chicago get under tax line without kneecapping themselves
