I would like him to fly either east or west in one direction around the globe and back to his departure point.
Of course he would never agree to that as it would be a scheme clearly designed to take him to the edge of the earth and snuff him.
ETA: I mean just take WWII for example. Our fleet faced west to fight the Japanese, off the edge of the Asian continent. And Marco Polo traveled east to China before the new world was discovered. The same China that (including the Mongols) interacted with Asia from the west.
We obviously interface with Europe to the east.

Let's say to play devil's advocate I asked someone to prove the earth is round based on what they have experienced in life. I suspect for the majority of the population it would be a lot harder than they think.

This is how people who don't have sufficient psychological capacity reconcile reality these days. They can't handle science and progress so they deny everything and collapse in on themselves like dying stars. You won't find one well adjusted, productive adult who believes this shite, just crackheads and unstable loons.
Honestly, as society learns more and more about our world and continues to expand the frontier of technology, we'll see a more pronounced push back from these types who aren't equipped to handle reality.
