Nah. A tactical nuke would be perfect
Posted on 1/25/16 at 9:26 am to bencoleman
I've come to the realization that there is no point debating with somebody who thinks the use of a nuclear weapon anywhere on this world is a logical course of action.

Putin would do this in a heartbeat. But he promised Israel he wouldn't.

Israeli and Russia are not simply "de-conflicting". They are "coordinating" in Syrian airspace. A well-informed Arab diplomat with wide-ranging regional experience explained to me that Israel and Russia are conducting joint reconnaissance and intelligence gathering and evaluation over Syria. "The planes are flying together. Information is relayed to the Russian centre at Latakia, where it is evaluated and passed on to Israel," he said.

And Nagasaki and Hiroshima
At least those were plausible military targets.
The firebombings of Dresden and Tokyo were primarily civilian and deadlier, if I recall.
I'm pretty sure the fire bombing of Tokyo was the single deadliest bombing mission in history. Dresden, while literally hell on earth, did not generate the same amount of casualties as either Nagasaki or Hiroshima.

This comment was posted to the news article and is interesting:
The United Kingdom-based SOHR is run out of a two-bedroom terraced home in Coventry by Rami Abdulrahman,[3] a Syrian SunniMuslim who also runs a clothes shop. After being imprisoned three times in Syria, Abdulrahman fled to the United Kingdom fearing a fourth jail term
They never asked him why he was in prison 3 times. His sentence should be made public, as we all know Political prisoners are really (rarely) let out of prisons in middle -east.
So the world news media using an ex-con for dead people count.
They state SOHR a group. How can a one man mean be a group? How can this man, reports 24 hours day, 7 days a week of an area as big England on its own . Since he's better than CIA, MI5 combined, he knows exact amount of dead and all activities on battle theatre
He's most being paid by my British Govt for this pathetic propaganda from his house.

Why is anyone surprised? This was all covered in Rambo part 3.

War is violent and innocent people die; there are no wars without collateral damage. The sooner the conflict is over, the fewer the number of casualties in the long-run.
We're dealing with an enemy who kidnaps and plants women and children in their military cities so that they won't be bombed. The fact that these cities are never bombed by the US is incentive for our enemy to continue using this tactic. There is no "humane" way to conduct war. There's no right way to do it. It's sad. Those children are innocent for the time being, but they will grow to be killers who hate the US and Christians around the world, and they will themselves raise children to do the same.
The innocent lives lost will either be on their side, or on our side. That's the decision we have to make.

Why do you think I said tactical? As opposed to strategic.

I hate to say it but the truth hurts.
potentially 43 less future terrorists.

Look at Dresden and Tokyo.
Dresden and Tokyo were fire bombed, but precision munitions did not exist for specific targeting. Even the famous Norden bombsight wasnt that accurate. Area bombing was the rule of the day.

It didn't matter that they didn't have "accurate" bombs.
They were striking civilian targets. By design.

Don't like getting blown up next to terrorists? Move away from terrorists

quote:What makes you say he reports 24/7? That makes no sense--is SOHR releasing new material every hour of every day? That's the only way your claim would really be supported by facts.

Furthermore, what makes you say he knows more than intelligence agencies? What basis would you possibly have for that claim? SOHR (whether it's a group or just one man) is releasing information publicly while intelligence agencies are not, so you're basically just making shite up.
I'm not saying SOHR is a trustworthy source of information, I'm just saying your allegations about SOHR are nonsensical bullshite. They could be completely untrustworthy, but it's not for the reasons you stated. Criticism of an organization whose mission it is to disseminate information about human rights violations should at least be grounded in fact.

Just nuclear bomb the entire desert
Posted on 1/25/16 at 10:07 am to GetCocky11
It actually did, for every city the Khans massacred, three would lay down their arms and not a single person would be harmed. Whether you want to admit it or not violence does solve problems and it has for the entirety of human history

I thought it was nuts when I found out they filled in almost all of the irrigation ditches and canals in the ME. Definitely took it up a notch

Not that I'm personally suggesting this, but it does work.
In days gone by, if you really wanted to destroy an enemy, you'd slaughter them to a man.
That way there's no one to come back and claim revenge,
