Well, those two picks would help.

He would have found a way to waste those picks as well.

I think Mickey needs to swallow his pride and say things like he needs to do a better job, etc. The 2014 draft was just as detrimental as not having the 2nd rounders. I believe Sean and Mickey felt we had a sure fire championship roster just missing that deep threat receiver (we all did). They got Cooks, and took flyers the rest of the way. Own it Mickey.

He must be feeling the heat from somewhere cause he's usually smarter and very controlled in his comments.

I agree. It would've been a nice show that he still cars if he would've fired our head scout, went out and got a great scout, and then in 2015 we had our best draft in years.

That would've been nice after 2014. But hey hindsight is 20/20. Maybe he'll get off his arse and work on scouting this year.

He's probably just tired of the media. They've been kicking in his and the franchise's nuts all season.

Does Loomis not get credit for players like Brees, Vilma, Sharper, Allen, Kevin Williams, Unger and Anthony?

He did Ok with the first few Free Agents you mentioned but that's not many players considering the years he has been here as GM,but it stops at Allen because Unger and Anthony are products of Jeff Ireland and it shows Ireland had full control of the 2015 Draft and the trades that were made prior to the draft for Graham and Stills. History shows Mickey would have traded those players away for next to nothing or just cut them and got nothing in return, ala Curtis Lofton(Saints Leading Tackler 2 seasons in a row) who he let walk away instead of trading him and getting what he could get, a late round pick would have been better then nothing and would have helped ease his cap #...Mickey Loomis released many of players he could have gotten draft picks for and bad contracts to players that didn't deserve them..He's good with #'s but he showed his weekness not knowing how to get the max or how to not make trades for his players..

What players we cut could have gotten us a draft pick. We tried to trade Galette and still couldn't find a suitor for his headcase arse. A poor lb like Lofton wouldn't net shite. We got something for Grubbs luckily.

The Saints released Ninkovich not once but twice the first time I understood the release because he could not stay on the field often injured and then he came back and was playing great and we cut him again...This team told him he would be a Long Snapper and now he's one of the best edge rushers in the league...Go Figure

As far as my Lofton comments a couple of teams Inquired about him and Loomis said he was not avalible and then in the cuts after June they cut him.

Are you sure about this? He tore up his knee his rookie year in the Steve Gleason Falcons game and was out for year. Then he got hurt in late summer the next season and got cut. When did he return and play well for us? He was also picked up and cut by the Dolphins (Saban) after us and before he got to New England.

And show me the teams with massive amounts of salary cap room. list them out. let's see which ones are competing with elite players and making runs for the playoffs.

Here you go....

LINK

As you can see, the main problem with the Saints cap issues is the enormous amount of "dead" money. If that isn't Loomis' fault, then whose is it?

Yep Im sure..

Ninkovich was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft.[4] He signed a three-year contract with the team on July 18.[6]

In a preseason game against the Dallas Cowboys on August 21, Ninkovich recorded two sacks and two forced fumbles but was also flagged for a costly unnecessary roughness penalty which led to a Cowboys touchdown.[6] He finished the preseason with three sacks.[4]

During the regular season, Ninkovich appeared in three games for the Saints as a reserve defensive end before suffering a knee injury against the Atlanta Falcons on September 25.[4] He was placed on season-ending injured reserve on September 29,[6] finishing the year with four tackles.[4]

During an afternoon practice on July 30, 2007, Ninkovich was carted off the field with a knee injury that caused him to miss the preseason.[6] He was waived by the team prior to the regular season opener.[6]\
Second stint with the New Orleans Saints

Ninkovich signed off the Dolphins' practice squad by the New Orleans Saints on December 3, 2008. He was released on July 30, 2009 after the Saints signed long snapper Jason Kyle. Ninkovich had previously been considered as a long snapping option for the Saints in the offseason.[12]

some of you forget ninkovich took like 3 years AFTER that last release to be productive as well.

not like he came in day 1 and became a 8 sack/year guy...

I know when I think of top edge rushers, the names that come to mind immediately safe Von Miller, Justin Houston, Cliff Avril, Ziggy Ansah and... Rob Nibkovich.

That was the easiest statement I needed to say...He was good when he was here but never was given a legit chance to play DE and he is good in New England..
