Shannara Chronicles got me in the mood for something else in that genre. Not Lord of the Rings. Seen it too many times and just not in the mood.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

There's not a ton I can think of, and no TV shows worth a hoot.

Edit:outside of the obvious.

As far as movies, Chronicles of Narnia, Seventh Son, and then a plethora of B movies. Some of which are good.

Fantasy, outside of anime and cartoons, tends to get neglected, sadly.

You haven't finished Korra yet, right? Seasons 3 and 4 are pretty damn amazing.

Turbo Kid This is coming to Netflix soon so I guess I should start pimping it a little more. Might be more sci fi, but still has a fantasy/adventure type feel to it. You can currently rent it through Amazon and itunes.

The Insurgent Series has some pretty bad acting in it, but it's actually not bad. It's good dystopian entertainment.

Neither are the Maze Runner movies, those aren't terrible.
