He did.

It was bullshite that Cal was treated like a princess while CJJ had to bite his tongue all night.

But CJJ was warned to stop, he kept talking, warned again, continued to talk and was then given a T.

I watched the whole thing live right in front of me.

Racist refs gave Calipari his white privilege.

Simmons had just driven the lane and was fouled. I thought it should have been a shooting foul, but it was called on the floor

Coaches in college dont just get techs for talking. I bet you cant name the last time you saw that happen.

Coaches being irate, showing up the ref, being on the court, etc. yeah that gets you a T. Not just talking to the official.

Are you that dense? So you're the only one who saw this? Amazing, because I watched it, as well.

I guess you missed where the refs were getting screamed at by Cal (on 2 separate occasions), walked away from Cal to the scorer's table, and gave a bench warning.

That is A LOT different than the ref walking up to a coach, having the coach talk to you about how that was a bullshite foul, the ref saying "Coach stop", the coach then says "that's a bad call" and he gets a tech.

Since obviously you're wise in this situation, explain why Cal got 2 bench warnings for being on the court screaming at the refs, and Johnny stands in front of his bench and talks to the refs and receives no official warnings but simply a technical.

The worst call of the night was whatever the frick they called on Quarterman's put back which they took away then UK goes down the court and nails a 3, 5 point swing just like that. Would have put UK away there earlier than we did. Even the announcer immediately said "Thats an awful call, no need for that"

I agree that it was the worst call..but just wanted to point out that it wasn't Quarterman that had the tip in called "over the back", it was Blakeney.

I wasn't there, but a ref using a technical as coercion to not question calls is a ref not confident in his own call. CJJ was not yelling and I doubt he called the refs mom a whore. As someone pointed out, showing up the ref, yelling across court, chirping at him the next possession by not letting it go, I can see a tech. But a ref not walking away when the conversation is over shows the lack of experience of the ref imo

Exactly. That's my whole issue. These refs just seemed clueless half the time

I was not far behind the bench. JJ did not get irate with the ref. He was seemingly expressing himself in a mild tone. I was shocked when the ref T'd him up, figuring JJ must have called him a MoFo or such, but I doubt it.

On the other hand, two bench warnings and no T. As others mentioned, Cal at one time ran up to half court on the floor screaming and nothing called.

The old guy who T'd up JJ wasn't the best but I've seen worse. They sure went to the replay screen a lot, maybe at the behest of Calipari. No one else gets the breaks KY does.

My favorite is whenever someone says something positive about LSU hoops and has to preface it with something like "Now listen I aint a CJJ fan or nothin..."

I loved the Tech. Sometimes they're worth it, for no other reason then to show your players that your taking up for them.
Right before that, KY (I believe Murray) got fouled and was given the basket on almost an identical situation.
BS's foul should have been a shooting foul for sure.
I was pissed off at the on the floor call and was glad to see JJ get the T, even if it was a complete joke of a T considering how cal was acting throughout the night.

I have no problem with JJ pushing the line for techs. I like to see some fire from a basketball coach at the right time. However the sec refs are fricking dog shite. This isn't the first time that Jones has been T'd up for simply talking calmly. Cal on the other hand has pushed players and lives on the court and he gets no punishment. Jones and Alleva should call out the sec refs for this bullshite.

The LSU player was over the back of his own player. the Kentucky player wasn't even hardly in the picture. As stated by another poster, that could have been a big turning point in the game had K come back to make a game of it. I do seem to recall a couple of "make up" calls we may have gotten after some earlier bad calls, including the one mentioned. Anyway, great performance by the team down the stretch to avoid what we've come so used to seeing where we've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, going all the way back to the Dale Brown era, the NC State game last year being one of the worst (especially after State nocked off the 1 seed 2 days later!). Had we gotten by State last year, they may coulda rolled pretty deep into the tourney. Hopefully to momentum can continue, although some of the teams in our earlier losses this year are budding up the RPI chart, i.e. Marquette; Houston; etc. Gonna be important for those teams to keep winning to make our losses look not as bad as they looked at the time. Even Charleston is no stranger to the big dance. Probably a post for another subject and yes, Kalipari was a madman compared to JJ. And the foul on Ben for poking the K player in the gut area was followed by a similar blow from the K player. Shoulda been a no call, but at least fouls on both players.

Cal does get away with worse. They gave him a warning to stay in the box and next time would be a T. Then when he did it again, THEY GAVE HIM ANOTHER WARNING. Like the TV guys said, did they tell him this time we're not kidding? Second time should have been a T. Isn't that the way official warnings work

Worse? At one point JJ was 5 ft out on the court coaching the offense in his own half court. His players could have passed him the ball like a sixth man. This was during the critical last 8 min of game. Not a problem to me but that stuff is obviously not ok with many on here. BTW the refs let it go without a word for those keeping score.
