Trust me I understand what you are saying.
Did you interpret my question as asking if it was a good idea or if it would be allowed by IMG? Where did I say IMG needs the money. I simply asked if it was a violation, to which you said "I don't know". You could/should have stopped there instead of making a moronic comparison between the relationships of TAF:IMG and CHS:LSU.

I went to a basketball tournament in Erie, PA where IMG was competing. I talked with a few of their players and coaches. At least the basketball team does it this way. Part of the players go to school in morning and practice all afternoon or practice in morning and go to school in afternoon. That year they had a freshman player from India who was over 7 feet tall. ESPN magazine did a story n him.

If memory serves, IMG started out as the Nick Bolleteri tennis academy, made famous after Agassi attended and became it's most visible star (Jim Courier attended at the same time and Bolleteri had to basically pick Agassi over Courier when they started to compete as teenagers). One of the posters were right, plenty of wealthy people, including quite a few of the Russian bombshell tennis players, trained at the academy. It was eventually bought by IMG and incorporated into their corporate structure.

Would it be a NCAA violation for TAF to financially support their football program or advertise there since it is more of a business?
Since 98% of the players go somewhere else why support everyone else. Those players would have no obligation to come to LSU.

I can understand why IMG is not allowed in the Florida state playoffs. I just read a story that a Nevada assemblyman has proposed legislation to ban Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas from state playoffs. They also recruit from all over the country. Not really fair to the competition that doesn't have the resources to recruit nationally.

I always thought that IMG Acad. and McDonough 35 were like football prep schools. Just like you would have a college prep school for academics. Those schools prep you for football including needing the grades. These football prep schools could be a good or bad thing. If they don't prep them to pass classes, they might as well go to a regular school.

I kid. Interesting.

A local player here in central Alabama is enrolling there as well.

I'm sure the 70k price tag is for the parents who want their kids to be great and have more money than talent.
For 70k they can be around the best competition and get very high level training.

The fact that you said "Except it's the opposite of that!!!!" shows that you're an idiot that doesn't even have a basic understanding of how the place works or what it's all about. Don't try to correct someone if you're clueless, dipshit

Calm down, champ.
You made a bad analogy on an Internet message board. It isn't the end of the world.
My point is that the relationship that would be had from LSU paying for exposure at IMG is not the same as CHS paying for exposure at LSU.
LSU wants kids from both IMG and CHS to come play sports so they benefit from exposure to both schools. That exposure isn't the same as CHS paying LSU to take more athletes from CHS, which isn't even a common practice. Coaches send tapes and contact schools on behalf of students but no coaches from CHS write checks to colleges. Trust me, some of my closest friends are on the current coaching staff and I was an athlete there.

A lot of misinformation in this thread. There is no "tuition" at img, because img is not a school. The kids who play for img go to school at nearby public schools. Img is simply a sports training academy

sick. and not in the good way.

Not all those kids pay 70K a year to attend IMG....they have to have high profile guys to draw attention to the school. Shea Pattersons family doesn't make close to that...he didn't pay a cent to go their and I'm sure he's not the only one.

The article linked earlier in the thread provided that information

You sure about that?
