I hate my GoPro

to damn cumbersome as far as software goes. Just not worth it at all to even bother. Sure, shooting the video is great but i never get around to making the videos.
Anyone else feel this way?

I actually feel the same way. Bought the 3+ when it came out. Got all kinds of accessories. And I just never feel compelled to frick with it. Bring it with me on most hunts and fishing trips, but usually end up not turning it on. Battery life, fisheye, and the controls would be my three biggest complaints.

What? GoPro's software is TOO user friendly.

I threw together a couple videos in less than 30 minutes.. Really easy to do

My iphone shoots better video.
The gopro and accessories are nice, and the software is easy. It seems my batteries never hold much of a charge.
I got 3 and I am lucky to get a 2 hours out of each, but it just seems like you are constantly messing with the batteries.

I have the app and it sends it to my phone. Pretty easy. Also shows a preview before and while recording

Yep. I gave my 2 gopros away. they are a pain in the arse with all the fittings to keep up with. Then when it comes to editing, don't even get me started.

98% of the gopro type videos people post on the internet aren't worth the time to watch them. Never owned one and don't have any plans to.
Dashcam footage is wayyy more interesting anyway.

editing is pretty easy with the right software. My issue is that the picture quality never seems to be on par with what you see in professional gopro videos and still shots. I'd rather just snapchat my shite and be done with it.

Yep, it's a lot of work for casual users, especially considering that it's just today's version of home movies that nobody wants to see anyway.
Quality videos from non-commercial users that are worth watching are rare (like the bonfire video below!)

I don't use mine much at all. The only thing I really do with it is take it on scuba dives. But it is really good for that.

Its definitely a bitch to video, and video enough to get good footage. And you are going to miss out on the best fishing, but im ok with that, i like watching ppl caught ummm up. As far as the fisheye issue, that the wide screen setting, put it on Medium and it goes away. Batteries do suck on the cameras, i keep it plugged in while i shoot for the most part.
Editing is actually fun. Get a beer a have at it. it will take 2+ hours to edit a good video.

I kinda feel the same way. I feel so much pressure to use it to justify having it, when sometimes I just don't feel like bothering with it.
I actually love to edit footage. I just hate getting it.

I have the second one that came out with, Hero 2 maybe? I've used it only a couple of times kayak fishing or motorcycle stuff. I always end up deleting the footage since it's either not enough footage to compile an entire video, or the footage is nowhere near as excited as I thought it would be. I've come close to buying the 4 several times, my girlfriend had even bought me one for Christmas but I had her return it. I simply can't justify spending the $400 for something I feel is a novelty item. Plus, my kayak fishing trips are lame, who wants to watch a video of me paddling around while drinking beer and not catching fish?

99 times out of 100 that's the fault of the person rendering as opposed to the camera's ability.

Mine was just an older one and I never found the quality to be that good inside of the case. I ended up shooting it with my shotgun

I don't use them, the red light on the front when recording is a dead giveaway to the ladies that I'm filming. I can just set my iphone up in a hidden spot on my dresser and get better stuff.
