I need to get a new kitchen faucet ASAP, and it seems like even the shitty, lowest grade ones are $100+. A reliable one is like $400. All it does is basically squirt two streams of water out of it. I can do that with two $5 garden hoses. I have redone a few houses before, but always paid with the company CC, so I never paid attention to how expensive these things are. There has to be a phenominal mark-up on them.

Do any of yall own a Chicago Faucets kitchen faucet? I am gonna flip my shite if I drop $400 on a faucet and have to replace parts every two years, and those seem like the most reliable out of all of them. Bad part about it is that I'm gonna have to order it online.

I need one too, but it's hard to justify the cost.

Usually the ones at the big box stores are made with parts that are not as good as plumbing supply stores.

Make sure you check the plumber's prices versus Amazon's prices. Amazon has some good deals on stuff like that. If nothing else, you save the 10% taxes.

Go to Coburn's.

Tell them your nephew is a contractor and ask for the contractor's discount. (They NEVER ask for a name.)

I got 4 $400 toilets for less than $200 each and also got a faucet for half of what it costs retail.

They really are overpriced. It's asburd.

I got this one for $50 and am pleased enough with it for the price.

It is a curved metal pipe. Probably $5 in material and labor. I am assuming because you might buy 2-3 in your life.

I wondered the same thing building my house when the wife picked out a $900 faucet. You know what else is expensive? Front doors and big sliding glass doors. Good lord...

Just do that. Who cares how it looks when you can keep all that extra money in your pocket.
