Totally forgot about the game

Pretty well attended--lots of young kids. Upbeat and lively crowd, but in lots of areas not as involved because of the younger crowd/parent mix. Several pockets of really good fans though. But everyone stood and got into it during scoring opportunities. I don't have much to compare it to, but it was a lot of fun with pretty good energy.

That's great, glad we finally got a shot to host a big time soccer game.

Just under 33K announced attendance.

Difficult for games like this to be in such big arenas. From tv, you would have thought there were 10k fans. Glad to see it was that many.

The atmosphere was better than the match between the US Women and Brazil at Gormley (around 2002 or 03). I attended both, I think the big difference last night was all the kids there being it was Abby's last game. Lots of little girls have grown up idolizing her. My daughter was a big Mia Hamm fan; room full of posters, jerseys, etc. This generation is Abby's.

The Plaza level was packed as expected. 32,950 announced attendance. It was a lot of fun and the crowd was enthusiastic.

i put this on our FB
Where to begin
The last 2 days were something we will all remember. We waited 13 years for a match in New Orleans, and I think we nailed it. Were there some lulls? yes. Did we make some mistakes? yes.
But for the first chance to show what we can do, I couldn't be happier
A huge round of applause to The American Outlaws: New Orleans, Connor Melancon and all the AONO guys. They pulled off what many doubted could be done. From the night before party, to the tailgate to the spirit in the Dome, it was phenomenal.
Thank You to The Bayou Militia. New Orlean's oldest supporters club. They worked hand in hand with AO, showing we are all in this for reason- Our love of US Soccer. They were here before any of us and they showed us all their passion
Thank you to Stephen Patterson and Finn McCool's Irish Pub for their wonderful night before block party, and for all their help at the match. It's the best bar around, and they have done so much for not only the soccer culture in New Orleans, but for New Orleans itself
Thank you to Christopher Payne, Matt Kayda, Jason Bordelon and all the other guys leading all the chants and drumming the night away
And thank you to everyone who came out. over 32,000 in the stands to see the World Cup champions.
It was loud, it was fun, it was exhausting and it was completely worth it

I know I had a good time. Pretty fun at the tailgate too. That was a great bar choice.
