35 TDs.

THIRTY FIVE TEE-DEES.

Plus, there's this:

https://espn.go.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/17891/panthers-qb-cam-newton-is-leading-the-nfl-in-deep-throw-accuracy

quote:

Panthers QB Cam Newton leads NFL in deep throw accuracy
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton isn’t the most accurate passer in the NFL, but he is in terms of deep passes.

Newton has an accuracy percentage of an NFL-best 51.7 percent on throws that travel 20-plus yards, according to Pro Football Focus.

But Newton has completed 80 of 123 pass attempts (65 percent) over the past four games for 13 touchdowns to move into that elite territory.

Is that bad?

But only a few percentage points behind Brady with a significantly larger percentage of his passing yards being in the air rather than after the catch.

Cam = Derrick Henry

Kind of the opposite for me. Henry is the ultra productive, likely solid-NFL-quality player who benefitted from a great team and piled up numbers. He's a workman like player to the max.

Cam is the less efficient, but more spectacular player that Carolina has built a team around. Panthers have bought in to his attitude and style, and he's figuring out how to help his team win in various ways on a week by week basis.

So is his MVP status solely on the undefeated record?

It's a large part of it. He's also playing with some pretty mediocre talent around him. Kelvin Benjamin hasn't played all season.

If Carolina wins out, he's got it.

If they drop a game, then I see Brady or Carson Palmer stepping in.

I think Palmer is ahead of Brady at this point. Russell Wilson may get in the conversation if he plays the next 3 games like he has the last 5.

Pearl Jam - are you really an Auburn fan?

If Carson Palmer and Tom Brady can lose two games then shouldn't Cam Newton be able to drop two games as well?

Russell Wilson and the Seahawks may not make the playoffs plus Cam Newton beat Mr Wilson in his own back yard!!

Because Brady and Palmer's resume is more than just being undefeated

He is still the QB of a top 10 offense in the league who hasn't been racking up any garbage stats.

Stats Against Current Projected Playoff Teams

Passing:
72/135 1060 yards 11 TDs/4 Int

Rushing:
30 attempts 144 yards 2 TDs

I think those are solid.

Teams: Seattle, Washington, Green Bay, Indianapolis

How much time will the coaching staff play him the rest of the season after watching the Andy Dalton incident Sunday?

They have to keep playing him, especially if the Cardinals keep winning.

Yes.

Being undefeated is what tips the scale in his favor. If he loses that, it's hard to get past the numbers Palmer is putting up.

If Wilson plays the next 3 weeks like he has the last 5, Seattle makes the playoffs and Wilson gets some MVP talk (assuming cam drops a game or 2).
