Offer to watch your kids so you and your SO can have a date night? Or do you always have to ask them?

My parents live in Florida but have a condo here. When they come into town (once every couple of months on average), they usually take both kids overnight. My in-laws live a few minutes away and take them overnight at least once a month. It's nice.

Yeah we usually end up hiring a sitter but every once in a while them offering would be nice.

We definitely have to hire a sitter. Pretty sad too. Parents live within 4 miles from me and will never offer. Ever.

Yeah same here. Parents live 5 minutes away and never offer. Sitter gets expensive with 4 daughters.

(not OT rich)

My parents always offer, but we only take advantage every so often. I feel like during the week our afternoons are rushed and I really enjoy playing with my little girl during my free time on the weekends.

At least once a month my parents or my in-laws do this for us.

It's great, haven't used a sitter in 6 years.

Our parents never did.

We get our granddaughters all the time. Son gets to keep his kitchen pass always. ??
