Will Tulane now run the option?

Oh damn. That's a good hire.

This guy didn't always run the triple option

I seriously doubt he'll run the triple option. He will more likely run some version of the Spread as he did for many years prior to GSU.
He's actually a defense guy first but will adapt his offense to his personell.

Genuinely surprised he left Ga Southern. That's historically been a better football program.
Guess the Eagles didn't want to match.

He still doesn't run triple option. Never has. All zone and speed option.

That's basically what he's been doing at GSU. Maybe it has been more run heavy or option oriented than he was previously, but I don't think I've seen them take a snap under center in the handful of games I've seen over the last two years. Certainly not running option the same way they were before he arrived.
ETA: Is this the best hire so far?

What
Tulane is in a better conference, has better facilities, and pays probably triple what Ga South does.

Great hire. AAC just got even stronger.

Sure - at much lower levels.

I think he used that at GS only because it gave them the best chance without good QB play. Though I suppose he may come to the same conclusion at Tulane.

He ran the option at G Southern because he inherited a roster for of players who had run the option.
Posted on 12/11/15 at 4:21 pm to Overbrook
And he didn't even run the option the way most people are talking about him running the option.

Awesome f-ing hire. Fritz is probably salivating over the weak schedule next season. So excited that Tulane finally got it right!
