If UNC beats Clemson, it looks like they would have an argument.
Does Ohio St deserve to go over a P5 champ?

if OSU goes then you are going to send 2 from same conference in.

Absolutely not
Their schedule is beyond garbage with a loss to a 3-9 team.

Yes UNC if they were to beat Clemson would have a better resume than Ohio St.
Clemson if they were to lose to UNC would still have a better resume than Ohio St too
Ohio States only hope is if Clemson wins and Bama losses

I agree. It is total garbage. Beating the unanimous #1 would help though.

Stanford should be in if Clemson loses.

No, when you play 2 ranked teams and lose to 1 get the frick out.

no Bama should get a bye

Nah that South Carolina loss may be too bad to recover from.
I think it would strengthen the argument for the 8-team playoff, though

no
The sooner we get to an 8 team playoff the better.

Absolutely, 1 loss conference champion who beat the previous #1 team. I don't see how they are left out. The W over Clemson should cancel out that loss to UNC

1. conference champs
2. loss was the first game of the season and not any worse than oklahoma's loss to texas.
3. longest winning streak in the country if unc and msu win on saturday
4. nd was a legit contender before losing to stanford. by beating clemson, unc would have a better win and mostly better stats against common opponents.

frick this.
If you think settling on the 4th team is hard enough, imagine when you have to decide on the 8th team.

No way. They have two losses, one to Northwestern.
