Realistically, what highly regarded OC would want to come here?

Les promises he's going to change. Lets just give it one more chance Joe!
Who is going to come here? LSU is going to fire a 3rd offensive coordinator in 5 years. Les has a reputation for handcuffing his OC. Then theres the issues of Les being seen as a lame duck coach that the administration has been looking to replace. There's no guarantee to a new OC that he wouldn't be out after a year anyway.
Don't get your hopes up for a young, up and coming, hot shot, well regarded offensive coordinator. It'll likely be another retread hire like Kevin Steele. A guy with a lot of OC experience but not currently in an OC gig. Someone on the backside of his career looking for a promotion for a year or two before he retires.

Cameron isn't getting fired, his contract has expired.
LSU can pay a lot more than most schools. LSU has a ton of talent. If an OC goes to LSU and fails to turn things around, people will blame Miles. If a coach comes to LSU and actually makes the offense work, they'll likely get HC offers.
It's not as dire as it seems.

well we could pay them $1 million dollars.
Doug Meachum at TCU Makes $350,000
thats a lot of reasons to take a job.
Scott Frost earns $400K
IF you fail, you get 2-3 years worth of salary out of LSU and no hit to your reputation as Les takes the blame.

Well considering we are loaded in talent, as well as pay our assistants more than any other school in the country, I'd say we would be pretty high up on people's list..

The offense has been annual shite since 2010. Yet this board still says its Cam Cameron's fault and wants him to be fired. Its an absolute lie that people won't blame the OC.

they all want to be HC right away, even at shitty programs!
Doug Meachum threw his name for North Texas HC, i believe.
NORTH TEXAS..
i just don't see who LSU can get who isn't just some scrub who was fired or demoted..

Sark on a one year deal. He missteps, we let him go. Besides Les is in a position where he doesn't find success, he's 100% gone

Cam Cameron leaves with the offensive ineptitude on HIS resume when in reality Les calls the plays.
And you think a bright offensive mind wants to come here and be saddled with Les' offense?
I really thought Les might trust CC enough to give him the reins since they were in each other's weddings and all. If he won't trust that guy, you think he'd give the reins to some other up and comer.
I'm mean c'mon he wins 77.5% of his games that don't matter and maybe 1% of the games that do. Yay rah. Music city bowl hoorah

So lets say a guy comes for 1 million per
He is risking being out of work the next year
So effectively thats 500K per. Its time vs money and no big time OC is coming when, they are in demand, can go to a better situation.
No folks, its over. LSU is just mediocre at best forseeable future.
AND ITS NOT THE FAULT OF MILES
Blame F.King Alexander and Alleva. Until they are gone LSU is done in football.

None.
They won't be allowed to actually do their job. And they know it.
Just keep Cam. Hopefully, Les expended all of his political capital in this power play and will be gone next year.

Which offense is better? Les's handcuffed 1975 offense or drunk Sark's offense? I've got Drunk Sark.

I think you want to search for a UT situation with Chavis hire. Need to find a veteran guy who runs all aspects of the offense, who may be on an outgoing staff.
Posted on 11/29/15 at 2:58 pm to Lsuhoohoo
If Sark has got his shot together, he's a really good candidate. So is any other young guy making 300k that we throw 1 million at. Being able to hire a good OC will not be an issue. Will Les be willing to do it, is, however.

just looking at objectively, the oc position at LSU can be used as a stepping stone, plus they have a lot of talent to work with.
