I will be in Nashville 12/11-12/13 and looking for a few things to do. We are staying at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown on Korean Veterans Blvd. We are going to a Predators game Saturday night, looking for a few bar suggestions for Friday night and Saturday night after the game and also some suggestions on what we should do during the day Saturday.

I am going to be intown same time for a Christmas party. We are staying at the Hilton downtown. Not sure if that is the same property or not.

Don't make the mistake of going to the Grand Ole Opry or Opey Mills during this time of year. Very hard to get in and out of that area.

I fondly remember breakfast at the waffle house with a group of friends, but I couldn't tell you which one it was.

Puckett's grocery....very cool casual resturant that typically has some live acoustic entertainment. Check it out...

Convention center
Whiskey Kitchen

Sambuca if your classy, losers if not.

Pucketts is cool but it's out here in burbs with all us Will County folks. Probably not your thing for a short trip.

Highly suggest the Musicians Hall of Fame in the lower level of the new downtown Convention Center. Fascinating hour or two. Lots of instant connections to whatever brand of music you grew up with.

As far as downtown: I like Acme Feed and Seed, Broadway Brewhouse, Robert's, Rock Bottom Brewhouse, Skull's Rainbow Room, Pub5, Fleet Street Pub, Merchants. I'd tour the Ryman, the Country Music Hall of Fame, The Frist and the Schmerhorn Symphony Center.

I'd suggest touring some breweries: Yazoo, Jackalope, Tennessee Brew Works, Czann's are all very close to downtown and within walking/stumbling distance to one another. Smith & Lentz and Fat Bottom brewery are a mile from downtown in East Nashville.

Check out Pinewood Social (very close to your hotel). Head into Germantown for some of Nashville's best restaurants (City House, Rolf and Daughters, Silo, Fifth and Taylor, Butchertown Hall, Germantown Cafe).

If you decide to do the Country Music Hall of Fame then make sure to spend the extra few bucks for the audio system. That really helped us enjoy the the place a lot more, otherwise we would have walked through it very very quickly as we aren't the types to just stare at things for very long.
