What's the guarantee on each?
Posted on 11/27/15 at 9:33 am to LSUBaseballGod82
and buyouts are negotiated down all the time lowering the guaranteed amount and spread out over a number of years lowering the annual payout from what it was previously

Sources I have also say he wants to retain Frank Wilson

You have no clue.
$6M/yr over 5 years is probably worth more in 2020 $$s than $5M/yr over 5 years.

$6m/5yrs seems like it would be worth more than $5m/5yrs pretty much all the time.
What's the income tax difference in the two states? What's the contract guarantee?

Hopefully we at least get Wilson to stay too.
This. Then I'm all good. Everything else is peripheral. The infrastructure of this program begins and ends with recruiting. Retaining both would ensure that the strength of recruiting would remain in Louisiana. My main concern was not tearing the program down and starting over. We've made some good progress in to N. Louisiana and we need to maintain our strength in the N.O. area though I'm sure Orgeron could do both as the recruiting coordinator, but having both makes the job much easier.

How about Frank or Orgeron?
Posted on 11/27/15 at 2:32 pm to Bunta
Frank should stay. Coach O will. Syracuse was a money play, nothing more, nothing less.

Where?

Boom wants his guy. I have no idea where the coaching staff is going. There could be a possibility of keeping Steele on as LB coach. As poor of a D coordinator he is, he is one of the top LB coaches in the country and can recruit.
