Slightly better Les Miles would mean more trips to ATL and playoffs. Unless someone changed the goal of CFB teams or something, I would say that would be worth it.

I was told Wednesday at 10:56 am that Austin Thomas, Frank Wilson, Ed Orgeron, and Corey Raymond were staying.

FSU floating the rape allegations story has ruined any chance they may have had to keep Jimbo. He had nothing to do with covering anything up and is livid. Sexton isn't even taking their calls anymore.

as long as FSU can match, I won't be jumping for joy. timing appears to be -

Does anyone get the feeling that it's not as much a money issue as it is one of the following:

1. He wants to leave Tallahassee
2. He really likes lsu.

I thought he just got a raise at fsu this year. Seems like he wants a new start somewhere and lsu has always been a good fit.

You confident in your source? Have you heard anything else about who may be coming in, like for DC?

true, but wisconsin was not that good of a team. they went 11-3 but played in a weak big 12 west. Never played michigan or michigan state and they got killed by OSU 59-0 in big 12 title game.

this CNN special will definitely bring heat on FSU

For all his faults, Les Miles ran a clean program for 11 years.

I just hope the next coach can maintain that standard.

I don't think Thomas has really been mentioned much on here concerning the the possible transition but he is great at what he does. Marcus Robinson currently holds the FSU job and I'm not sure how he stacks up against Thomas but Thomas is really good at what he does. The concern here is just how long is he willing to stay around. I would hate for us to lose any of the other coaches to an SEC rival. If they move on for HC or out the conference, so be it. It will hurt but nearly as bad as them heading to Bama, etc.

I have no sources and no insider information.

It certainly looks like 'leaks' have sprung since these "Jimbeaux to LSU" rumors have started, doesn't it?

What man would stay at a place where these things were going public? Hell, it almost gives Jimbeaux an excuse: "I didn't want to be a part of that program with the things going on, etc..."

I suspect the 'rape leaks' make it easier for both sides to prepare for the inevitable separation.

yep. FSU just might regret doing this. It just might seal the deal for jimbo.

The total contract is what he gets paid. His FSU contract is $5mil/7yrs = $35mil
His rumored LSU contract is $6mil/5yrs = $30mil

The LSU contract is $5mil less in total. FACT

That's true, but he'll make $6M next year at LSU, as opposed to $5M at FSU.

If the LSU deal was 7 years, it'd be worth $42M.

Less total, but more per year.
