very. played two respectable opponents and lost to both. sloppy play, not much defensive intensity, miss too many point blank baskets, & not very physical.

Which one the freaking women's program is a total disaster as well thanks to Alleva. Under Alleva the entire Athletic Department for the most part is 180 degrees from where it was under Joe Dean.

Les never had control of this team. I like this team...the players work hard and give it 100%.

Don't forget this team has already played 7 games before the season started. I said this after last nights game. We have one season with Simmons. He's gone after this year. We don't have the luxury of giving them time to grow. We need an offensive game plan. Right now it's 35 footers or bust. We shot 33 3-pointers. 33. Pathetic.

I fully expect this team to be much better when Hornsby comes back. His leadership is important to this team. I'm really not too worried yet because I expect Ben to get more aggressive and Hornsby to help when things get tough. I know nothing about Victor. If he can improve the rebounding then that will be huge. Hornsby coming back will also be a big plus for rebounding. He is a really good rebounder for a guard. No panic for me yet unless Gray starts playing 30 minutes a game.

i'm with you TigerAbe...given a little time to get used to playing together these kids are gonna be pretty good...in both lost games the refs made it clear from the jump LSU was not going to get an even shake...tonite 23 fouls to 11 on NC State...come on, give me a f'ing break... the last one they called on Ben was total bullshite !!!!

With all the freshman playing and still waiting on hornsby and victor, we are okay
Marquette started 3 freshmen, a soph, and a junior. They aren't waiting on a Hornsby or a Victor, but they never had one to begin with.

About a 5 or 6

Those were definitely 2 winnable games but those losses weren't so bad that you abandon all hope for the rest of the season

This is a team learning how to play together. It's the most talented team LSU has had in a long time. I like Johnny Jones, but other than his recruiting, I'm just not convinced by his coaching. So we just have to hope that the team gels and Simmons learns when it's time for him to take over. There is no reason this team shouldn't be able to beat just about anyone with the talent on it.

I haven't watched any highlights on Victor. All those were just jump shots. Is he a banger down low or more of what that video showed. I was under the impression that he was a really good rebounder and defensive presence down low. Seemed like a David West type offensive player in that highlight.

Exactly. Learning to play together. They will be fine. It's not how you start it's how you finish. Nothing really matters except do well enough to make the dance and then be hitting on all cylinders. Give them time.

8, and the only reason it's not higher is because I haven't really been paying that much attention.

Typical JJ coached team. It gets really painful to watch sometimes.

Love my Tigers but he just isn't that good of a coach.
