Not losing games is important in college football
Posted on 11/24/15 at 6:15 pm to hendersonshands
They are undefeated, twit.

no fricking consistency in these rankings. pick a criteria and stick with it

Iowa deserves to be over Notre Dame, maybe not Michigan State but they are going to play so it doesn't matter.

Notre Dame doesnt deserve to get in

Im struggling to figure out Oklahoma is ranked above Michigan St
...what criteria are they looking at?
They have better wins (two top ten wins), a better loss, and higher SOS
it just doesnt make sense

I have a real fear that they're going to drop Alabama out of the top 4 in the last poll.

Iowa is a total fraud.

Makes sense. If they win the big 10 undefeated they are getting in. This way they won't have to jump them ahead of 3 teams to make it happen and they won't have to deal with that criticism again.

Iowa is undefeated

It's obvious they don't want a #1Clemson-#4Notre Dame rematch. It's boring. The only people that want that rematch are Irish fans. Iowa has a chance to prove themselves on the big stage. If they lose MSU is in.

Sagarin has Iowa at 17 in his "predictor" rankings

Meh.it will work its self out in the end. If they win the Big10 then they will deserve to be in. If they dont, then they won't.

Iowa is a 1 point favorite over a garbage Nebraska team. That says it all.

If you are in a P5 conference, you deserve respect for being undefeated....even the ACC and their garbage.
I appreciate rewarding good wins, but not at the cost of hurting undefeated teams. "Good Loss" or "Freak Loss" are the stupidest statements I've ever heard.
Even if it was, it still happened. They LOST. As in LOSERS. Its weird that some people get hurt more than others for losing.
Anyways, yes, Iowa has played a decent schedule. Toughest? Absolutely not, but they are winning by comfortable margins in almost every one. 6 of the 11 were by double digits, including a blowout of the #16 team in the country. Pitt and Wisconsin were good close wins. Illinois and Minnesota were never in doubt, and they got scores in garbage time. They were up 15 with just over 2 minutes left against Indiana.
My Top 10 would be
1. Clemson
2. Iowa
3. Alabama
4. Oklahoma
5. Michigan State
6. Notre Dame
7. Oklahoma State
8. Ohio State
9. Baylor
10. Florida

Don't play anyone and don't lose to the lowly teams you play. It's that simple.
Ohio State screwed up scheduling Michigan State. They were OK without that game.

The marquee game on Notre Dame's resume is their LOSS to Clemson. Thet have few if any quality wins.

If only ND could beat a legitimate team besides Navy.
Go Hawkeyes
