That is a big guy, but I expected some obese WalMart slob.
The article says he's a frequently flyer.
Doesn't include a photo of the passenger that just couldn't sit next to that man. Notice that she switched with someone who didn't have a problem.

That guy is a fat slob. I wonder how many bags of potato chips he's consumed in the lazy boy and how many excuses he's made why he can't go to the gym.

Looks like I need to reconsider AA from my no fly airlines. Bravo

Woe is me...I'm a victim......I can't fit my fat arse in a 747......
Give me a fricking break.
Give me a fricking break.

He was probably creeping on the chick and she used his weight as an excuse to get away from him.

Exactly, fat shaming should be encouraged in this country.

God knows those seats are narrow. Two broad shouldered guys don't easily fit without bumping elbows......so anyone over 300lbs or so had better get an isle or window seat.
I fly frequently and I've sat next to some pretty big people before and most of the time there was no problem. The guy in the article isn't that big.
This.
I'm 6'4" and have rarely been comfortable on a flight. Even so, if they put me next to another big guy I don't complain.

SJW's might not like it, but if your arse doesn't safely fit in an airplane seat then you should have to buy 2 seats. Don't like it, then lose weight. Someone next to you shouldn't be uncomfortable just because you love jelly donuts and bacon double cheeseburgers
Bingo. If you're over a certain weight, they need to fly your fat arse in a C-130. In the vast majority of cases being morbidly obese is a result of a person purposely choosing to NOT be morbidly obese. These fat belly-achers piss and moan about "not being treated fairly". What about the person that has the scintilla of self restraint and respect to not be a fat blob? It's ok for him/her to be uncomfortable because you don't give a shite, but not for you to be uncomfortable because you CHOOSE to be a lardass? frick you! Either lose weight, shut up, or fly on the same planes they haul tanks with.

No where near as fat as I thought he would be. Sounds like he sat next to some uppity old bitch and ran into a steward/stewardess who had a hard on for harassing overweight people.

Some of you guys should read more.
I'm not saying that diet doesn't contribute to obesity, but obesity is actually an incredibly complex issue for many people.

Retired marine and he really isn't that big. Really if you're 2" over the seat you can be de boarded. Really 2" that's not a lot when folks are sitting down in those narrow arse seats.
Just a snoppy older woman who probably always has gotten her way complained.
She should have been asked to leave the plane.

No. It really isn't. Eat less and move more.
I just solved the obesity epidemic.

I'm a bit surprised about the amount of fatties in this thread. Just don't eat grains/sugar/sugar substitutes and you are almost instantly not fat.
