Definitely do it. You'll be asking "what the frick?" the whole time, but it's so dry that it's pretty funny. There was a random tire in a lot at the entrance to our neighborhood for about 6 months. My wife and I always wished Robert the best as we passed it.

Spring Breakers is some real middle-of-the-mall shite.

That said, I think it was just Harmony Korine's way of trying to get his daughter a role.

Gummo....hahaha.

"This shitty arse rabbit stinks!......smells like...pussy"

"Whachu watchin in the house?"

Was so intrigued by Gummo from watching Belly that I had to check it out........strange fricking movie is an understatement. The chair wrestling scene was especially special lol.

I actually felt dirty after watching it. Not good dirty either.....like need to go take a bath dirty.

Harmony Korine is all over this thread.

It's a short, but Umshini Wam is a good illustration of Korine's film making.

It's Eraserhead.

The only answer to this thread for those who have seen Eraserhead is Eraserhead.

Jacob's Ladder got weird at times, too.

You need to get out more. While awesome, Moon doesn't even begin to make eyes with weird across a smoky barroom.

Since Gummo and Eraserhead were already said...

I'll go with:

Jacob's Ladder
Memento

Trailer

quote:

Don't get caught with your pants down! Escaped serial killer Jack Schmidt is on the run from the police and FBI after escaping from jail. They corner him and gun him down in a sewer tunnel, where he falls into a pool of chemicals dumped by the company who created it, Dutech. The combination of feces and this chemical transforms him into a half human, half feces creature, who goes on a killing rampage. And it's up to a group of local law enforcers to stop him.

Agree (after Eraserhead)

Meh. It's backward. Once you know everything that happens and how it ends, it isn't weird at all - just, backwards (IMHO).

Oh Lucky Man! - Malcolm McDowell was apparently on some good shite for a few years making movies...

There you go - but that is only a middling weird Lynch movie.

I would rate the Lynch - in decreasing order of weirdness:

Eraserhead

Blue Velvet

Lost Highway

Mulholland Drive

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me

Dune

Elephant Man

(Last two pretty close, and not his original material)

Can't say, definitively, on the other Lynch features - never watched them. As I understand it, Inland Empire was pretty strange, but I would guess not as weird as Blue Velvet - until I see it. The Straight Story is reportedly not very Lynchian strange at all, perhaps his least weird feature. And Wild at Heart is probably less weird than Mulholland Drive (again, by other reports).

The fact he has at least 2 nominations on here (and I'll throw in Blue Velvet as pretty weird, too) - is it fair to say Lynch is the WOAT director?
