If LSU loses to Ole Piss, the wheels will start turning. 3 straight loses is inexcusable and mediocre for how good of a program we have. Sorry, but this shite is getting frickin old.

Conference record on a graph shows an arrow making a nose-dive to the lower right ever since 21-0.
Can't consistently compete with the best team in the division/conference and has even snatched defeat from the jaws of victory when having this team on the ropes several times.
The kicker for me has been the performance of special teams this year. Say what you will about offensive schemes, defensive match-ups, game strategies and tactics, depth and abilities in the trenches but anyone can see that LSU has PLENTY of athletes who can play on kick/kick return and punt/punt return units. I think the only possible explanation for the substandard play of these units is inadequate coaching. The HC has to recognize this and DEMAND improvement in the coaching of these units. If he's not doing this or is not able to do this after it has become abundantly clear that there is an inexcusable deficit of performance in this area, something is bad wrong. Very bad wrong. So bad wrong that getting a new Special Teams Coach will not solve it.

To be fair nobody's on nick's level, closest to it is urban Meyer today. he's the best in the game today and in the running for best ever.
I've been saying that all season. I shudder to think If he didn't have a heisman caliber tailback

Good, its time for us to move on from this cluster anyways. Should have never hired him in the first place. Been saying it for years now. All across the board he is simply clueless as a HC, and its hard for those who love his coaching style to accept that. I get that. But, he will always be in Saban's shadow, and has proven year in and year out that he cannot win the games that matter, and cannot compete against the SEC West with any consistency.
We have been embarrassed for too long, and it needs to end before we wind up like Miami or Texas. Get him outta here, and give someone else a shot at it. This is ridiculous. I now understand completely why BAMA fans were chanting "OVERRATED" during the game in Tuscaloosa 2wks ago. Probably was more directed to Fournette than anything, but still. We are not an elite team, and the media has hyped us up this year to something we are not. We got exposed the last two weeks, and if anyone was watching our team this whole season, you would be honest about what we brought to the last two matchups. Miles has checked out. It is time for a change. Syracuse was a sloppy win, as was Eastern Michigan, and Western Kentucky. Lets not forget Miss St. nearly beat us early on too. We are already the laughing stock of college football.Firing Miles would right now would probably show our resilience and determination to once again play competitive and truly be in the championship spotlight again. Everyone in the country can see this, why can't we?

I Agree !00% with the article , Les Miles has lost his edge. He has not devoloped talent. (don't tell me Beckem , Landry or Mingo etc..) these players were exceptional talent that will be successful dispite les miles. Outside of 2011, his teams Never improve during the season.
He's Hardheaded, lacks motivation and drive, watch him on the sideline walking around like he's at Disney World.
Frankly I'm Tired of his act.

8-5 last year, 7-5 this year? It could happen. Be careful what you wish for....

You can blame Les' problems on the same factor that doomed Jerry Stovall, Mike Archer and Curley Hallman: those da*^ed PURPLE JERSEYS!

I'd be shocked if Les didn't get at least one more year, if nothing else than to lower the buyout to $9M. Unless Les has had enough.

I don't know if that's accurate, but that Arky arse whipping felt like a game changer. Even posiTigers are rustled.

I'm totally shocked to see this kind of piece in the local paper by the head sports writer. This is the type of speculation that is thrown around here and on local sports talk shows but not something usually found in the sports page.

I think that an ad that refuses to say that he could pull trigger on next great LSU coach is not worth 900k a year either. Hell he doesn't even have a short list for next coach

It's true boys. Iff Leslie loses these next two games, it's party time over here in Tombstone!!

LSU went from 8-0 in SEC play in 2011 to 6-2 in 2012, 5-3 in 2013 and 4-4 in 2014. The Tigers are 4-2 right now. If they lose out, that would make LSU a mighty mediocre 13-11 in SEC games the past three years.

Overall, the Tigers are still passing only 32.4 percent of the time, lowest percentage in the SEC. Miles used to have power running allies in Bama’s Nick Saban and Arkansas’ Bret Bielema, but both have entrusted their offensive coordinators to use more modern methods to move the football.

Pretty good read.
Though I do sometimes wonder how "sources" react to a reporter saying they "cultivated" them.

If Miles is terminated without cause before Jan. 1, he would be owed $15 million
Ok so January 2nd it is. Solves that.

I'd like to see them go after Dabo first then maybe Kiffen. Two young coaches getting better and better.
