Does anyone think Cowher or Gruden is ever coming back anywhere, NCAA or NFL?

I can't see how at this point. They've passed up too many incredible opportunities. And Cowher is getting to the point where he's been out almost as long as Vermeil was out.

Gruden has the cushiest position ever now on MNF. I don't see him every going anywhere.

Gruden is making millions now as it is. Look it up. I wished he would come back to coaching but it looks doubtful with the jack he is raking in now.

You gotta be a sick son of a bitch to give up the jobs they have to coach

No.
Both enjoy cushy jobs with fantastic salaries right now, and I'd argue that the game has probably passed them both by from a coaching standpoint. People say all the time that being out of the NFL for a few years is an eternity in terms of the evolution of the speed and schematics of the game.
Cowher has been out of the league a decade, and Gruden nearly as long. They're not getting back into coaching, pro or college. Plus, Cowher's wife passed away a few years ago, and he's been open about wanting to spend more time with family.

No shite. Cowher for personal reasons and gruden because he's hit the jackpot of life.

Gruden is the most overrated coaching candidate in history. A mediocre record in the pros and walked arse backwards into Tampa. Dungy built that team and nobody can convince me he didn't. He will never coach again.

Gruden would take a pay cut and have to endure stress again. Stress free up in the box.

I wonder if Gruden , if offered, would take the Colts job?

If one of them does, it'll be Gruden.
I don't think either do though.

He overcame Al Davis' meddling and made the Raiders a winner again. His Raiders were a tuck rule and a fluke-arse run by the Ravens/90 yard pass to Shannon Sharpe away from taking the Raiders to back-to-back Super Bowls. He made a team so good that Bill Freaking Callahan got them to the Super Bowl one year later. He's a little overrated but don't act like he's crap either.

I don't know why either would. They get to be around the game they love without the headache of being a head coach and they make lots of money.

Bill is never coming back. Gruden is only 52 so theres plenty of time. I would give it a chance but it would probably be another 3 or 4 years away if it happens.

Making $6.5 mil, I don't blame him for never leaving either.

If I am Jimmy Haslem of the Cleveland Browns, I am giving Bill Cowher a blank check and giving him complete control of the organization. Cowher played for the Browns and started his coaching career with the Browns. IF he ever comes back, I could see him returning to Cleveland. Cowher is only 58 years old.
