Of course she will, work ethic with these kids is atrocious. It is much better in the south and Midwest than in the NE and west coast from what I can tell.

These kids are going to be worse than the millennials and as a millennial myself, that is pretty damn scary.

'm not saying the officer didn't go too far, but what did they expect to happen? You have a thug teenager who won't move and you call a cop to come move her. She didn't cooperate. Did he go too far? I think so, but she's hardly an innocent victim in all of this.

I agree. Firing the cop wasn't a bad decision, but I still feel bad for him. He may have just intended to pick up the desk with the girl in it and move her outside at first, but she hit him and he lost his cool. I'm sure there were other less violent (not that it was very violent) to handle the situation. He made a bad choice that left his boss with no other choice but to fire him.

It's the entitlement that these kids display that is so sickening.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that this was not the first instance of her being disrespectful to her teachers and other school officials, and I know she lives in a foster home, but that is still no need for lack of discipline at home. I'm sure she still wasn't disciplined for this atrocity.

I think she deserved to be dragged out of the class, but he could have just grabbed her and done so. He didn't have to chuck her across the room. That's the part that outrages people.

Otherwise, I fully agree that she is a symptom of a larger problem.

I am going out on a limb and say that this is not the first instance where copper crossed the line. And the limb is short because he has. See army vet story. So we have two folks wrong here. And both faced consequences. A good ending.

Yep. I hate how the OT is always a mutually exclusive board. You can recognize the cop was a dumbass and the girl sucks at the same time

This wasn't a Law Enforcement problem. This was a school discipline problem. The Police Officer never should have been involved. What did they think was going to happen when he was called in to do something?

Frankly, the guy should have walked in and told her to get up and leave. When she refused, he should have said "oh well" and turned it back over to the teacher.

I'm not disagreeing with that. I know he crossed a line. But something had to be done to handle the situation.

FIFY...and these people will ruin this country. I will never understand why the majority gives into their bs.

I bet if it was a video of her mom (yes I know her parents are dead) yanking her out of that chair and slinging her to the ground people would be praising the mom.

I've seen this said a lot. She refused the principal as well as the teacher before the officer was brought in. She also had no parents to contact as they are both gone (I don't know whether she's living in a state facility, with a foster, or what). What exactly more would you have liked the teacher and administrator to do? Keep in mind they can't put their hands on a student unless that student is physically a harm to themselves or someone else.

so did or didn't he use excessive force in your opinion...or was he fired for handling her like that because he wasn't a parent?
