I go back until I get a yes. Can be awkward but once you get the check,

You?

I don't know. I've been in sales so long it's just no big deal anymore.

No isn't no. They are saying not now. Find out more about why they need what you have and how it makes their job/life easier/better.

"Are you ready to buy now?"

"No."

"I understand, but what about now?"

If a salesperson takes no for an answer, they'll never sell anything

The best thing about salesmen is i get a good steak.

Problem is i have to hear their bullshite for a whole meal.

So now, i tell them no thanks and buy my own food.

Most of the "no's" you get are from people that don't have the authority to give you a "yes".

I tell every salesman "I shoot every third salesman that walks in my office and that the second one just left!" Just kidding but I'm a purchasing agent and I will at least listen to what they have to offer, if I know I'm definatly not going to use their services I will tell them I'm happy with my current supplier and if that changes I will call them. Basically leave me alone until I call you.

I fill my pipeline to the max so I don't need everyone to say yes. I say no to prospects more than they say no to me

I like that strategy. "No, I'm sorry sir. You cannot buy this Honda Civic." Interesting approach.

I could never be in sales. I could come up with a great pitch, be utterly convincing, and make a great sell but the second they seem disinterested, I don't have the personality for that.

Perseverance is a beautiful attribute. Some of the worlds wealthiest people are commissioned salespeople.
